It is ideal to have two great parents in the home. But the argument about not having our role model doesn’t explain why girls don’t end up in the same situations as boys not having a man In the house. They also need models. I would hear that Argument and sometimes from the very kids I taught and I believe there is some truth, but the bad side is it is enabling. No, but lack of it should definitely not give entitlement. Many poor white trash folks around where I live are of that same opinion. I know first hand as some of them are in my family. Can't feed 'em don't breed 'em. Why should I have to pay to feed, clothe and house someone else's children? Just as stupid people should not breed, neither should poor people. What you are saying is that people who do not have a lot of money should not have children. I wonder if your next step is people who are comfortable and have children and then lose their jobs and have to go on government assistance should have to give up their kids. Actually, the 'preaching of abstinence' works exceptionally well, and always has. It's absolutely normal in huge swathes of humanity, with breeding not done until the time is right. It's the reason why we see so few unwanted pregnancies (or underage sex) in some cultures. You seem kinda naive, it must be said.
Try reversing that. It's childish to imagine that no adult can control themselves. Or rather, incredibly insular and naive. PLENTY of cultures dissuade sex before marriage, and millions of people manage it with no problems. Why don't you know this? Seriously? People can and do 'stop having sex' all the time. Either they don't start (til marriage), or they stop for any number of reasons. Again, bizarrely naive thinking.

Actually I equate money with being able to pay one's way in the world. You bring up an interesting point with government assistance. Government assistance was originally supposed to be just that assistance. It was also originally supposed to be a temporary solution. We, as taxpayers, all payed into the system. If you or I lost our job or had other hardship which prevented us from working then we could use the assistance to get back on our feet. Once a person was back to work they were paying into the system again. It was never intended to support families for generations. Those are the types I am talking about. Do you suggest that I as a taxpayer should be in favor of allowing people with no income to have children just because they will love them? What about the hard working people who pay large portions of their income in taxes to support those with no money? Do you suppose they would like to hold onto a little more of that money in stead of paying taxes to support those unwilling to work? Those taxpayers have children who would benefit form more money being kept in the household instead of going to support the poor undeserving and their babies.
