Still circular reasoning. The first accusations are validated by the second. and the second accusations are validated by the first.

The fact that you are unable to name a single policy BY THE CURRENTLY running Democratic candidates that would benefit the white middle class should be telling you something. It has great explanatory power for Trump's success. It certainly explains why I am no longer a progressive (I am unable to name one either).

I invite you to do as I did. Google "Clinton's policy positions in 2016 campaign." Then find one that, in your opinion, is targeted to harm the white middle class.
Actually, let me take that back. If you wanted to discuss this on another thread please start one. This thread is about how Trumpers give Don a pass on everything.

Spin it (get it, circular..spin) any way you feel it's necessary to get you out of admitting Don is both a credibly accused and admitted groper to whom you have given a pass.

Does Don get a pass for having so many "acting" dept. heads, inept vetting, hiring unqualified people, nepotism, handing out security clearances like x-mas cards, a corrupt cabinet, and record turnover of his staff.........like record as in no prior prez comes close? Of course he does.

And so they voted for Trump???:clapping::rolleyes:

Sometimes you say the nuttiest things.

As usual, you avoided the central points I was making.

What choice did voters have if they didn't want Hillary Clinton as president? Unless they were like me and knew how his state would go regardless and simply not voted for anyone for president.

And you have "central points"??? I probably missed them somewhere in the 40 or so anti Trump threads you've started in the last two and a half years.

And remember I don't support Trump remaining as president. I'm just opposed to him being forced out of office or replaced by a Democrat.

No matter how you rationalize it, voting for Trump was an affirmative vote for his presidency. I contend anyone who made that vote did not dispassionately evaluate his record, which was basically non-political, with her's.
For example, I read an article the other day in which a Trump voter said he could not vote for Hillary because she lied. You have to have been completely unaware of Don's lifetime of deceit and fraud to make that determination. Or.......have an irrational hatred of Hillary as a result of years of relentlessly false reporting about her. Which is not to say she wasn't a flawed candidate, they all are. But as a citizen who is supposed to vote for the most qualified person to lead the country there is absolutely no doubt Hillary was better qualified. For that matter, unless I'm forgetting someone, every Dem and Repub candidate who ran in 2016 was better qualified. Never in history have we had a less qualified prez than Don as the daily evidence of his buffoonery and harm to the nation proves.

Regarding qualifications for the presidency, some of us believe in voting for the person we think might perform well in the future.

Not as a reward for what they did in the past.

Quite frankly, that is an extremely stupid, loaded question that makes an invalid assumption.

It should have read, "What choice did voters have?"

I have been following politics for over fifty years, and I am a retired columnist. In all those 50 years, Trump is the first President who really scares me. It is not because his foreign policy decisions have been incredibly inane and dangerous. It is not because his domestic policy is ineffective. It is not because his government is chaotic. It is because he is the first President in our history who is threat to our form of government.

Don't get me wrong. Trump is a buffoon and a coward. He vacillates. He changes his mind like most people change their socks. He issues countless meaningless threats, and then backs down. As proven recently (the citizenship question debacle), he is all talk.

No, I am not worried about Trump. I am worried about what he stands for, the imperial executive who challenges the other two branches of our government. He does not accept that they are co-equals. I am concerned about his values. He is a bigot and a racist. He is sexual predator, and he does not respect women. His goal is to divide America, and he has done that successfully.

I am also concerned about the fact that he is chummy with communist dictators. He envies them.

Trump himself is too stupid to be a threat to our way of life. My main concern is that hidden powers within and without our country have maneuvered this buffoon to become our President. He is a precursor to what may follow. There are people who want to run this country, and the ridiculous Trump is just a trial run to see where the problems are.

The next guy won't be a buffoon.

Anyway, that's my theory. The chances of it happening? I'll give it 1 in a 1,000.

You keep talking about the left because you go out of your way to avoid talking about Trump, his decisions and his statements. Allow me to give you one of many examples.

Trump said recently that the U.S. immigration enforcement agency, ICE, was focused on getting the MS-13 gang out of the United States.

    So, what does Trump do?

He warns MS-13 of the coming raids.

“It starts on Sunday, and they’re going to take people out and take them back to their countries, or they’re going to take criminals and put them in prison or put them in prison in the countries they came from,” Trump told reporters in Washington as he boarded Marine One. “We are really specifically looking for bad players, but we’re also looking for people who came into our country not through a process, they just walked over a line, and they have to leave.”

    That is reality.

It is not the vague generalizations and characterizations you like so much. No one knows what you are talking about.

I deal in specifics. What is Trump doing? What is he saying?

We have gotten away from the central issue of this thread. Lee wondered how Trump became President.

He said, "While on a recent trip to Scotland I was questioned by people I met from around the world about why Don's supporters stick with him. I had no answers. It is beyond my comprehension. Multiple scandals, displays of incompetence, examples of corruption, evidence of criminal behavior, associations with criminals, boorish, juvenile behavior...........make absolutely no difference to Trumpers. None. They excuse it all away with a combination of false equivalences, denials, refusals to accept objective reality, and by choosing to believe the words and tweets of a proven, pathological liar."

I told Lee that a small minority of American voters -- 27% of the electorate -- voted for Trump because of those factors.

They for voted someone whose character was much like themselves in nearly every respect, including intellectual capabilities.

We let it happen. Our apathy, our inability to make a decision, created a situation where we allowed Trump's supporters to make the decision for us. 90 million Americans stayed home on election day. Another 10 million cast their vote in a meaningless protest, voting for someone who had no chance of winning. That is nearly 40 million votes more than Trump received.

So, the people who liked Trump's characteristics made him President. You can see evidence of that on every thread in PF's file.

Democrats love the deep state and the elitists. Trump won, because of this very reason and he's not part of the establishment.

Of course President Trump is a precursor of what's to come Sandy. Because tens of millions (possibly hundreds of millions) of Americans are damned tired of going to the polls and casting their vote...…….and nothing changes. You can actually see this same feeling in AOC and her so called "squad" (the other three members of Congress) and their angry feud with Pelosi. People are damned tired of billion dollar endless campaigns, full of piss and vigor....yet all that results are minor lane changes.

    Now I don't say I like it. I don't say I approve of it.

    But I do understand it.

Based on what criteria did you think a business fraud, adulterer, sexual abuser of women, tax cheat, pathological liar, who associates with criminals, and flip flopped on a number of issues to become palatable to Repubs because he has no ideological core on politics or morality might perform well in the future?

Don gets a pass for presiding over the corrupted departments in charge of carrying out his ruthless, inhumane policies at the border. The minions, they like hearing about these immigrants being treated like dogs because they view them as less than human.

‘This is tough stuff’: At Texas detention facility, Pence sees hundreds of migrants crammed with no beds

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...5dae2607e60_story.html?utm_term=.e0b435b3371d
MCALLEN, Tex. — When Vice President Pence visited a migrant detention center here Friday, he saw nearly 400 men crammed behind caged fences with not enough room for them all to lie down on the concrete ground. There were no mats or pillows for those who found the space to rest. A stench from body odor hung stale in the air.
BORDER PATROL CHIEF CARLA PROVOST WAS A MEMBER OF SECRET FACEBOOK GROUP
    https://theintercept.com/2019/07/12...rovost-was-a-member-of-secret-facebook-group/
"WHEN NEWS BROKE that thousands of current and former Border Patrol agents were members of a secret Facebook group filled with racist, vulgar, and sexist content, Carla Provost, chief of the agency, was quick to respond. “These posts are completely inappropriate and contrary to the honor and integrity I see — and expect — from our agents day in and day out,” Provost said in a statement. “Any employees found to have violated our standards of conduct will be held accountable.”

Normally, when a prez asserts he is both above the law and not subject to any kind of congressional oversight, one would expect some degree of alarm.......even among members of his own party. But Don............he gets a pass.

I believe that is called reality. Congress can't pass a single law without the president's signature unless they have enough votes to override it. They can impeach him, but that is just about it. It is unfortunate the democrats do not like the constitution as written and passed.

I'm sure it comes as no surprise the incoming Sec. of Labor is a scumbag. Something for which.........you guessed it.........the Groper-in-Chief will get a pass.
Incoming acting Labor Secretary Patrick Pizzella under scrutiny for work with disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff
    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/12/aco...ces-scrutiny-for-work-with-jack-abramoff.html

"When Pizzella worked on Abramoff’s team at Preston Gates Ellis & Rouvelas Meeds, the lobbying firm was pushing to prevent Congress from imposing minimum wage laws on the Northern Mariana Islands. At the time, there were “maximum” wage restrictions on the islands of $3.05 per hour for foreign workers, according to the Center for Investigative Reporting."

Is the admin packed with unqualified POS's because no one wants to ruin their reputation by working for an incompetent, lawless admin? Or is it because Don prefers to watch TV and play golf rather than concern himself with ethical, effective governance?

A refutation of your own absurd theory is hidden in plain sight in your post. Not that I'm surprised you would come to Don's defense for anything and everything........as you always do.
