There's another problem with you guys. You conflate and confuse entirely different sets of circumstances to create terrible "analogies".

Who did Obama pardon who was akin to the scumbags that Bonespurs pardoned and/or whose sentences he commuted?

He isn't...but he'd commute any federal sentence if he thinks it's to harsh or unfair. So ever since he was elected.

He thought a Obama Associates....Rod served enough...my guess is he'd give Clinton a break too if it was to harsh

And just as important, which of those Obama pardoned was donating to his re-election campaign and did he go through the proper channels to review if any of his pardons/commutes were actually deserved and not some "Fox Whim"?

My 2 guesses, with zero legwork behind them, are None and Yes...

All most Americans want is some thought and rationale... Can't get either with this piece of work...

Didn't this guy try to sell a senate seat? 14 years is too short of a sentence. My sentence for him would have been life.

I don't know how you all feel about former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and a few other white collar criminals getting pardoned or having the prison time commuted to time served is a fair idea, I do not agree with this and they do not deserve pardons or get out of prison before their time is up? What is going on here? Other than pardoning Michael R. Milken, the so-called junk bond king of the 1980s, as well as the former New York City police commissioner Bernard B. Kerik and Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., a former owner of the San Francisco 49ers. Who is next Jack Abramoff? Getting Bernie Madoff out of prison? No Way Josė

Never heard of him, so I hit the Google machine... Doesn't sound like a model citizen but there's this

In 1987 he received a consecutive 15 year term for conspiracy to escape

    And he served 36 years...

WTF?? Trump would give somebody with that sentence the Medal of Freedom...

Selling a senate seat is corruption of the highest order and a huge betrayal of the public trust. The fact that a governor, one of the most power people in the country did this is shocking. Life, maximum security prison, not a soft one for rich people.

Lovely, stupid Barry pardoned this terrorist, who basically wanted to make Puerto Rico like Cuba, through the use of violence:

"In August 1981, Alfredo Méndez, one of those arrested in Evanston who had become an informant, testified that López Rivera taught him how to make bomb detonation devices and gun silencers. He also testified that the first bombing in which Méndez was to have taken part planned to target the hotel that housed the offices for the Democratic Party. Méndez stated that other bombings were scheduled to occur simultaneously in New York City, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C. Speaking on his own behalf during closing arguments, López Rivera stated, "Puerto Rico will be a free and socialist country" and denounced Méndez as a traitor.[16] López Rivera was convicted of "seditious conspiracy, use of force to commit robbery, interstate transportation of firearms and ammunition to aid in the commission of a felony, and interstate transportation of stolen vehicles".[19]

U.S. District Judge Thomas R. McMillen sentenced López Rivera to 55 years in prison, calling him an "incorrigible law violator".[20]

LOL, not familiar with Chicago Democratic machine politics are you? I'm not sure he even did what he's accused of, he mentioned it on a phone call.

It's part of a pattern, his prison reform has reduced sentences for a lot of low income people also.

He was convinced in a court of law, and you not being sure means absolutely nothing. Trump didn't say that he was wrongfully convicted, Trump said that his sentence was too harsh. If you are going to commute someone's sentence over a wrongful verdict, then you should at least explain your reasoning to the country.

Like I said, perhaps Blago and his wife will have something to share with the rest of us.

He did explain, he said the sentence was too harsh, and done by the same crooked dirty cops behind the Russia hoax. That you don't find that explanation sufficient is irrelevant.

That certainly is a possibility, that said, I don't consider these pardons necessary. Seems like the usual dirty politics pays off again.

Finally, someone gets it. If you support either party, you support corruption.
