Yep, yet another dumb, corrupt trumpling finds a prison sentence.

Just hilarious to see that the corrupt rightie commenced his insider-trading scheme on White House grounds.

Somehow that seems sooooo fitting for this White House.

Hopefully his corrupt kid (and possibly some other corrupt family members) will join him in the can... :flagus:

The front page news link you posted is 100% slanted BS about Trump.

    Obsession? Compulsive love disorder?

Do you ever post about anything other than Trump??

It's an interesting dilemma. He's going to jail, so I'm undecided on whether he should then be tried in another country for the same crime. I'm inclined against it, unless the sentences were served concurrently.

I am pretty sure we can come up with offences against out corporate law with which he has not been charged in the US. Stuff him, he has ripped off Australian investors as well as US people.

I am sure that you are just as willing as American leftists to invent crimes by anyone associated with Trump.

I would prefer to place my trust in the nation of Australia. I don't think that Australia would do that.

One thing is sure, he will not get away with it here on the basis that he has a friend in the WH. If he has broken our Law, then he gets dealt with according to our Law, no matter who he is.

Sure, the criminal has nothing to do with Trump. He just is someone POTUS favours including with his 'love' and apparently is likely to manifest that love with a pardon.

This evening down here, one of our most respected news programmes, Four Corners, is concentrating on this villain. Hopefully, I'll be able to provide a link to that sometime in the next 36 hours.

Just out of curiosity can a president pardon someone for crimes committed elsewhere?

Couldn't the next president just come on and extradite him?

Hey, I'm going by the article that you posted. Why did you post a Fake News article?

"Chris Collins has recently been sentenced to prison in the US for insider trading and lying to the FBI."

If that's not what he did, please post a factual article.

    And?

I'm not understanding what you're getting at. I see that I overlooked your use of the word 'here'. The article claims that he voilated Australia law. It doesn't claim that he was in Australia when he committed violation(s).

Anyway, he's going to jail here.

I don't care about him, I'm only participating in a thought experiment.

My current thinking is that it would be fair for him to be tried and convicted, in Australia, only if the sentences were concurrent. I'd even support his serving of his time in Australia. I'm just thinking that it's not fair to serve consecutive sentences, in two jurisdictions, for the same crime.

How about if he was jailed in Australia for whatever he is convicted of, then comes back here for a jail term for lying to our law enforcement?

So, he does no jail time for the offences committed in the USA. Do you think he should still NOT be prosecuted here and sent to jail, if guilty, here.
