I see. That probably would have suited the Israelis well, eventually taking over the Kurds and the oil and gas rich area, which, IF I am not mistaken, is part of their Oded Yinon Plan.
Of course, the little emperor Erdogan would also like to enrich and expand his "Empire"!
Well, the fight and resettlement surely isn't over yet.
    To survive, Israel must
    1) become an imperial regional power, and
    2) must effect the division of the whole area into small states by the dissolution of all existing Arab states.
The defeat of US sponsored terrorists (ISIS, Al Nusra etc.) by Syrian Forces with the support of Russia, Iran and Hizbollah constituted a significant setback for Israel.
But... as far as I know, Trump is not withdrawing his forces, at least not for now. Some more turmoil will probably ensue.

Good lord. This is so old it is moldy. Has Trump sent troops home yet? This is almost a month later and the out of breath left assured us they were immediately going home. What happened?

What leverage did he have? I am still waiting for you to provide proof the military wanted troops to stay even while being vulnerable for prosecution by Iraq. Either way, a three year plan seems far more reasonable than what we are seeing now. Heck, Trump allowed the Turks talk him into making an "out of the blue" announcement about the "immediate pull-out".

Back to topic; We have Trump insisting on immediate pull-out, which turned into 4 month schedule. Then we have Bolton saying we might never pull-out, and Pompeo saying US will never withdraw from war on terror, and now the news indicate the pull out has begun. This admin defines the word "CHAOS".

I see you have a crystal ball. You know all about the pact between Trump and the Turks. Just more stupid blatter without any basis other than TDS.

What leverage? Are you serious? Pumping billions of dollars into his country, how about that for starts. If you can read, the posted article lays it out pretty clear.

So you agree, anyone over 7 years old who doesn't know how many states there are is a complete idiot.

But it's not Trump's fault since he has been on all sides of the problem he will just claim the one that blew up wasn't the real one he supported.

A move-ahead on the pullout came just after the Turks announced that they were going to invade, Americans or no Americans.

Bolton is stuck in the 2000s.

Yes. He would like to restore the Ottoman Empire.

ALLIES: Erdogan says Turkey will not ‘turn its back’ on Palestinian cause.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday said Turkey will not “turn its back” on the Palestinian cause or people, adding that Ankara will share “all means available” for ending the occupation and establishing peace.

Erdogan made the remarks during his meeting with the visiting Palestinian members of the Israeli parliament in Istanbul.

He thanked the Knesset members for their service of representing the Palestinian will in Israel’s legislative body against Tel Aviv’s “oppression” in Gaza as well as its “Jewish State” law and “baseless rhetoric” against Turkey.

It wasn’t that long ago that Turkey and Israel acted as de facto allies. And I wonder if Erdogan appreciates the irony that Israel is the only Middle Eastern country where Palestinians are free to elect their own representatives to parliament.
