Now before our leftists scramble to discredit the source of this statement be aware that it was composed by a leftist in good standing for the Daily KOS. Now most of what the author follows up with is a defense of -- of all possible leftist politicians -- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (yes, Occasional-Cortex herself) and then follows that with typical and traditional leftist screed and boiler plate propaganda about how EVIL Trump is; without, of course, getting into any specifics that could be refuted; but then again to be fair to the author he is writing to and for true believers. He doesn't need any stinkin' proof.

So as you can read -- if you have got the stomach to read the tripe; that is -- Trump is evil and Occasional-Cortex is a blinding genius representing the heart and soul of what currently is the real and true Democratic Party . . . I kid you not.

So what's the deal here aside from the author being more than usually intellectually challenged? He maintains that unless the Dem Party gets its act together and boldly embraces leftist firebrands such as AOC who represent the pure spirit of the new Dem Party then Trump is easily going to walk back into the Oval Office at the end of 2020. So he wants the Dem Party leadership and its nearly 20 clown car slate of wannabe presidents to come out swinging with the most far out and radical bits of leftist ideology that they can fling with both hands and a running start -- splat! But then again he also apparently want them to LIE about their end goals so that the 'medicine' will go down better.

This, mind you, is somehow supposed to appeal to the best interests of the average voter and get them to embrace the Dem Party's eventual nominee -- who's probably already been selected by the notoriously corrupt to the core DNC -- as their savior . . . A.K.A. Barack Obama's Hope and Change style of meaningless nonsense.

Personally I think that the only truth the author managed to present was in the title of this piece. Trump is set to kick rump and take names and there's not a damn thing the collective Left can do to prevent him from winning in 2020 because the Left is determined to shoot itself in the political foot at every turn. Enjoy.

I don't fear their extremism because that will cost them elections, I fear them becoming sane again, dropping things like climate change and actually campaigning with real ideas to improve people's lives.

Right now all they can do is talk about hating Trump, how the world will end in five years due to global warming, and how white people are Nazi's.

I want them to continue doing all of that.

When has the left ever been respectful? They seem to spend most of their time thinking up new derogatory names which they often apply to each other.

 

I'll just agree with the premise and skip the rest.

 

You make some good points, but I think Democrat Pete Buttigieg is actually a candidate that just might be capable of connecting with the American voters is a way that could prevent another Trump term of office.

 

Sadly I do think Trump will have a second term.

 

Trump won because the alternative was so bad - it all depends on who the Dems nominate. End of story. Trump can only win by default - not because the country loves him.

 

Maybe Democrats will nominate Bernie while they lie to everyone and claim not to be socialist.
