Highlighting the downside of a Trump candidacy was worth the effort.

    I see.
Nevertheless, I would encourage you to broaden your approach.

I want peace, lower gas prices, less crime, fewer dying from fentanyl, no more violations of our airspace, no more freedom to shoot down our aircraft, no more arming terrorists, secure borders, lower inflation.... so I'll vote Trump if he's nominated. But Trump is a wee bit too old... so I'm rooting for DeSantis.

Don't Pick the One Candidate Biden Can Beat
    Dan Hannan, DC Examiner

The Democrats have left the goal wide open. Almost anyone could defeat President Joe Biden, whose physical and mental decline can no longer... Read More

". . . All the Republicans need to do is avoid egregious errors. Any candidate who can get onto a stage without tripping over and finish his speech without dropping his pants should win. Any campaign that offers the basics — strong defense, free enterprise, and constitutional government — should triumph.

Instead, as the dog returneth to its vomit, the GOP is groping toward a third Trump run. Never mind Trump’s many character failings: his neediness, his treachery toward friends, his babyish lies. Never mind his insistence, before both the 2016 and 2020 runs, that the only way he could lose would be through fraud, something that alone is enough to disqualify him from serious contention.

Consider, instead, a more basic problem. He is a loser. The Republican base seems to have developed a kind of false collective memory of the 2016 election. As the results came in, Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, declared “306. Landslide. Blowout. Historic.” In fact, as well as losing the popular vote, Trump turned out to have been a drag on the ticket, being outpolled by most Republican senatorial and gubernatorial candidates.

The same was true in 2020 when, as in 2016, he was up against an exceptionally weak Democrat. Trump then went on more or less single-handedly to lose the Senate by making the Georgia runoff all about himself. In last year’s midterm elections, the candidates who insisted that the 2020 election had been stolen were noticeably less successful than other Republicans. . . . "

Trump's personality means nothing. It never had any effect on myself or my family. He kept crime down, gas prices down, no new wars, more secure border, inflation down... THOSE THINGS COUNT. I don't think I'd invite him to dinner at my house... but every time I fill the tank or grow grocery shopping... I wish we had him back.

"strong defense, free enterprise, and constitutional government " . Really , Republican believes any of these anymore?

Strong defense – Have you seen Matt Gatz attacking Defense Secretary in congress about “Drag Queen” or Ted Cruz thinks Putin’s Army is better then US Armey?

Free enterprise- May be DeSantis didn’t get the memo. He thinks attacking a company, which 178K employee in his sate , is good politics. Attacking free market for “woke” is good politics in today’s republican party.

Constitutional government – 147 elected Republican didn’t vote to certify Biden. How do you explain “Constitutional government” to them?

Republican’s problem is not Trump. Problem is entire party itself. You are just wasting your time trying to save the party. Look at the post #709 , he thinks lower gas price is better then US democracy. Your party don’t believe in democracy.

The libs have crippled the US military with all their woke BS. Instead of training to win wars, lots of training time is wasted studying CRT and similar political BS. And yes... its hard to focus on being a Rambo when your bunk mate is wearing a chiffon dress and heels.

DeSantis is a serious supporter of free enterprise. That has nothing to do with his war against those who would sexually confuse our children.

"Constitutional government" is about LAW... not your biased view of the world.

I never said lower gas prices is better than democracy. That is a lie. A plain and simple lie. My point was that Trump's abrasive personality effects me and my family in no way. Gas prices do. Now show me where in that statement I say anything about "democracy". I'll wait... but I'm sure you won't respond.

2 years ago, conservative had US military. You think in past 2 years liberals crippled US military? .

If US military is crippled reading CRT and similar political BS, then US military was never strong.

I am glad you use word like “War” to describe DeSantis fight with Disney. Very good “ limited government and free market” in display.

CRT classes are being conducted in routine US military training. Even at West Point. They are learning that the US is racist and always has been. If you think this hasn't effected morale then you know nothing of the military. Folks are signing up for such a political organization... not to mention how tolerance of sexual confusion muddies the waters.... The military used to be about winning wars. Now its about being woke. And because everyone knows it... we aren't meeting recruitment goals. Who wants to join an Army into politics more than defense?

I like DeSantis' war on those committed to confusing our kids sexually. He'll get my vote if he's nominated.

US military always been the most powerful military force on this planet. Reading a theory like CRT doesn’t make US military cripple.

You obviously have no clue about the effects of morale and training on military readiness. Yes, the American Army has been the most powerful military on the planet. The Roman Army once held that title. They are completely gone now. We're on the way. CRT cripples morale. People don't join the Army to ecome political pawns. Its even ruining recruiting.

I doubt very much that Westpoint teaches that character in leadership matters naught. Apparently someone was asleep in class that semester, or, perhaps, all 12 semesters.

Sadly, it is seemingly quite reminiscent of the history of the fall of the Roman empire as these two choices shape up: 90+ year old Joe vs. the insanity of the magas.

And Joe is what exactly, he's well further right than I care for....

You are right, I don’t have firsthand knowledge because I didn’t go to military school. But I trust Lloyds Austin, a four-star general or Mark Milley, a four-star general, both who has a long distinguish career in US military then a guy in online claiming to be military genius.

    Have a nice day.
