The media is owned by the wealthy corporations that want to push their agenda which was plutocracy now it is morphing into fascism. On both sides.

Democrats legalize things like vote harvesting because they don't like democracy. They want the globalist running the vote harvesting operations to decide who wins what. Every politician in California is beholden to them.

 

So again our president is ignorant of the type of govt. the feds have. No surprise there he is just another college grad who majored in stupidity.

In 2020 Trump will guide the country to becoming more like the WWII Greatest Generation -- Winners.

Inveterate xitching, complaining, weeping, moaning, and shouting at the atmosphere will be going out of style.

 

This is a terribly worry. As both sides reach out to their most extreme members of their base all media lines up to grab the verbal grenade that will win the war. The radical right is angry and reactionary. The radical left is angry and revolutionary. Given this reality, there is no opportunity for rational compromise. As the rift widens, things will get worse. There is only a faint glimmer of hope.

The Independent middle is gaining more people disgusted, or frightened, with the extremes. Those which were traditional Republicans or Democrats don't garner much limelight. The question is, "Have they gone away or merely gone silent?" The election results of 2018 provides some clues. Generally, moderate and Independent voices won most of those mid-term contests.

So who is the greater danger, the left or the right. In the run-up to the 2020 elections, the Democratic Left has swung the party so far left that many of is proposals border on the bizarre. Everything is provided, everything is free. Americans are skeptical of the offer(s). Americans are conservative. They know if it sounds too good to be true, it is probably false. If elected, most of the zanier proposals will become buried in an avalanche of reality. In the Danger to Democracy meter (1-10 with 10 the largest threat) I score the Democratic Left a 4.

The Republican far right is now the party of Trump. Trump and his minions have declared war on their "Deep State" which includes all the institutions that form the bedrock of America. They have declared war on America's leadership role in the world. Their threat to "make America great again" is a promise of nationalism and authoritarianism providing the safety of total isolation from the world order. Everything has been reduced to a transaction based zero sum game. Their's is a path to American irrelevancy and political autocracy. On the Danger to Democracy meter I score The Republican Right a 10.

This sets up a situation that has proven to be historically disastrous. Americans hunger for someone to lead us out of this morass to the land of milk and honey. The eventual outcome of such a dilemma can be either benign or malignant. History has show the later to be the most likely outcome. America is at a crossroads. What Americans collectively decide in the next few months will determine the fate of America for the foreseeable future.

 

Which is why it’s absurd for trump to say democracy is at stake seeing that we don't live in one.

Yes, by voting for the people in your local state legislature.

Yes, by voting for whoever you want. You don't have to vote for the people that make it through the primaries. You can vote for yourself if you want to.

Perhaps you should look up what the term "Democratic Republic" means along with "representative democracy". We are not a direct democracy. We don't rely on mob rule as that is a sure fire way to lose your freedoms, liberty, and Rights. Although I am aware that are some people that think of such things as stupid. In which case why do they even want any type of democracy? A Dictator would suit them much better.
