In case you haven't noticed.....trump IS NOT conservative....he is an Incompetent that is preparing for war....ballooning the deficit....and trying very hard to screw a good economy....

Other than that he is a typical conservative.....Keep lapping up his carp...

Nowhere, Jimbo11, did I claim Trump was a 'conservative'. Why are you sending me these deeply foolish responses? Is 11 your IQ?

    You are babbling nonsense

Of course we use machines, but people also

And conservatives want those machines to be in America and operated by Americans

Yes, clean manufacturing and paying American wage levels means prices will rise

And many liberal globalists in America dont want that

They want cheap iPhones no matter what the cost is in terms of pollution or himan suffering

I think you are grasping at straws because you know I am right

You want our consumer products to be made in china because then you get to buy them cheaper

Even to the point of importing our agricultural machinery from china instead of having Americans build it

I want to put Americans back to work instead of chinese in china

I've corrected / educated this guy repeatedly on every aspect of globalism, agricultural speculation, farm subsidies, and tariffs. He's an absolute novice who's baseless contention is that Trump's trade policies are bad for the country, though he cannot explain why. Politico's "playbook" and TalkingPointsMemo haven't and seldom do, provide any depth of argument. If you're expecting a demonstrable economic impact analysis, you'll be disappointed.

    Its just lib partisanship

If a democrat were president and happened to be fighting with china over trade he would be doing a 180 degree turnaround

Why aren't nationalists ashamed of being so frightened by the rest of the world? Americans haven't gotten to where we are by cowering behind our tariffs, terrified of competing in the real world. At one time WE were China, and we can and should be again.

Your lack of historical knowledge is showing

America imposed tariffs since the founding of the nation to protect American manufacting from foreign competators

We used tariffs as they should be used, to protect nascent industries in a new country. America has long since passed the point where such protection is in any way beneficial to us.

Thats a narrow and self-serving explaination of then verses now

We needed tariffs then as protection from primarily two aggressive economies - britain and france

And we still need them today for the same reason against a different foe

We've know for a long time a recession is coming, at the end of Obama's presidency it was already evident... still the Dow bounces round like a hormonal teenager... then blames Trump
