Down with vegetarianism

So I dropped vegetarianism... for a few reasons listed below. I was planning on putting it on a 30 day time table, but screw it. I consumed chicken and pork chili last night.

1. One person isn't going to make a difference on the macroscopic scale. There are exceptions to this general rule. I am not an exception to the rule in any sense of the concept.
This is correct.

2. Health reasons only apply to vegans. Vegans avoid animal proteins entirely, I still consume the "bad" products via milk and cheese. Lots of cheese. Dear god do I love cheese. Especially mozzarella, provolone, and pepper jack. CHEESE DAMNIT.
Moi, you are exactly right. Brining back the draft would be the best cure of endless "policing the world". Why do we need to keep military bases and troops far away in so many places? Germany, South Korea and Japan can easily take care about their defense.
Veganism is like a religion.

3. We all die. Vegans too. Even people who avoid GMO's (which may be a shocker to some).
This is absolutely correct, but eating wrong things you may suffer debilitating pain and illness for along time before passing away.

4. Reiteration of item #3. We are all born to die. Doesn't really matter what you eat. Doesn't change the inevitable outcome of the end of cognitive existence.
It depends on your way of life and if you have something to enjoy. Again, you may suffer badly, because of your wrong diet.

5. Animals may be sentient beings, however vegetarianism is really a cop out on a purest level. The only real way to prevent animal suffering and to the greatest degree abstain from the animal holocaust is to go vegan. The industrial conditions to harvest milk and eggs are horrific in the way that animals are treated. Probably more cruel and inhumane that meat harvest.
Life is cruel. Look at predators, they are nice, but they have to kill to live. Those animals not killed by predators, may die of starvation and parasites, a slow and tortuous death.

6. This means I will probably put in for a draw unit this year. At the very least, I ought to harvest the animal that I will consume. Putting a 180gr. bullet through a wild animals heart is certainly more humane than industrial meat production. I literally laugh at those opposed to hunting on animal welfare grounds, yet financially contribute to the terrible conditions in industrial meat production. If a person consumes meat, and isn't willing the pull the trigger to harvest their own, they really have absolutely no wiggle room in that poorly reason argument.
Hunting is great, if you have game to hunt. You can also breed fish, chickens, rabbits or goats for meat.

7. I do not feel as strong as I was a year and a half ago.
Humans have the strongest health, when they are about 10-15 years old. Then, their health, statistically, declines.

8. I have gained weight. This could be due to the cheese, or the beer. In this particular situation I am going to blame the beer....rrrr.... no. I am blaming the cheese. And the bread. Not so much drinking beer and not riding my bike 100 miles a week like I was before. It is obviously the cheese.
Eat fresh products, avoid corporation made foods. Quality meat is fine, but diversify it with fruits and greens.

9. I am an air head. Whether or not I was this much of an air head before I decided to change my diet, I cannot determine. Could the air headery be due to the lack of protein...?

I think you diet is out of balance. Too much of corporation processed foods. Take care.

My health conscious lover has got us eating paleo. Meat or fish or poultry with plenty of greens cooked and raw.

It does feel good....

Gotta say I've never understood vegetarianism as a means of "helping the animals" being that they still eat fish, eggs, and other animal products. Also I agree about booze taking its toll; I was gaining a gut in the Army despite running all the time (5 mile Mondays!) and having a great metabolism. If you can handle a beer that tastes like fizz water, Coors Light will help a bit. Don't get me wrong, I love good beer and I live in Portland, a world capital of good beer, but for the most part it's Coors Light. That and a lot of the microbrews are garbage. They keep pumping crap that sucks for some reason. Still can't disagree with a good Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or a Bridge Port IPA, or a lot of what Rogue offers, but at the same time Stella is my go to, well other than CLs.

Well, if they are eating fish they are vegetarians. The premise of vegetarianism is that you are not killing any animals for food.

The premise of veganism is that you are not using animal products at all.

Also I agree about booze taking its toll; I was gaining a gut in the Army despite running all the time (5 mile Mondays!) and having a great metabolism. If you can handle a beer that tastes like fizz water, Coors Light will help a bit.
