And yet it is true that Sweden sucked up more "immigrants" than any other country in Europe on a pro rata basis during the past five years.

There are only about ten million people in all of Sweden. Let that sink in a minute. Of those 1.7 are now identified as "foreign-born", and a lot of them are from the Middle East. Poor Sweden is in one hell of a f*cked-up mess and now there's probably nothing that can be done about it. But, if a person decides to allow a snake to get into bed with him, should it be surprising if he is BITTEN?

A lot has changed since then? You probably wouldn't recognize it now.

Changed how? My friend still lives in Stockholm with his family. He hasn't complained about any changes.

Doesn't anyone have an assault rifle to take them out of their misery?

Dunno, London is the acid attack capitol of the world. I guess it is just time before the acid come to the US.

Your anecdotal accounts are interesting. But they fail to address the very real problems in Malmo and other Swedish cities brought on seemingly by introducing a foreign population into their country. https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/5195/sweden-rape

True, and they are all filled with “vibrant diversity”.

It’s all a function of demographics. Europe is whiter than the US, still.

I’m glad you found yourself safer in countries that were more racially and culturally homogenous than the US. How inspiring your cosmopolitan globetrotting is.

The conclusion is not necessarily correct. But if the statistics are right (and the report itself says you have to be very cautious in comparing rates between different countries), you are twenty (20) times more likely to be raped in American than in Canada.

Anyway, I jumped into this thread to point out the completely ignorant assertion by one poster that her chances of surviving a trip to Europe were only 35%. That is not only hyperbole, it is the opposite of true. Homicide rates in Europe are FAR lower than in America, so taking a trip to Europe will significantly increase your chances of surviving the holidays - not reduce them.

It seems you agree with me that Europe is safer than America.

Contrary to the ignorant and false premise of this thread.

I think it’s generally true that the less “diversity” an area has, and the less multicultural an area is, the less crime you will have. We have more diversity and multiculturalism than Europe, hence, more crime.

I doubt you agree with my rationale though. You probably blame gun rights or some ****.

There is a certain amount of fear that's prompted by hyperbole but if I were a woman (if) I would not ever go out alone in certain
areas of certain Swedish cities after dark.

Of course one could say the same of Detroit, Oakland, Baltimore, Chicago, etc. if one is being cautious But no one is arguing that these places may be hazardous (whereas some are trying to completely whitewash the problems of rape in Europe) and our crime rates were not dramatically increased primarily due to the relatively recent introduction of refugees from the ME.

I don't know Swedish cities well enough to know whether there are areas that are unsafe after dark. I have never felt unsafe in any Swedish city after dark (which happens pretty early in December) but then I haven't been to all cities and I haven't been to all neighbourhoods. But I have taken public transport and walked around a few Swedish cities after dark. Never felt threatened.

No-one is saying there is no crime in Sweden. Like in a lot of places, some of that crime will be the result of immigration. Personally, I think that the rape statistics are SO different from other countries that there must be some explanation other than a different rate of offences. Different definitions of rape, different willingness to report it etc.

What I object to is Sweden (and Europe) being portrayed as a dangerous place to visit, because it absolutely is NOT more dangerous than America. It is SAFER.

I will be in Germany next spring to visit with my newest grandchild. I wouldn't say Europe is more dangerous than the US.
But I don't think it's significantly safer either.

Statistically, Europe is much safer (from a homicide point of view) but I also think that a lot of homicides are concentrated in certain areas. Avoid those areas - in America and Europe - and you are likely to remain safe.
Enjoy your trip to Germany. I was there a few weeks ago and enjoyed it very much.

Read some of the Swedish MSM links, especially the one to which this thread is based (ie the coordinated rioting in at least 3 Swedish cities; maybe elsewhere too, who would know?) Maybe your friend isn't very observant . . . some people aren't.

It depends where in Europe and where in the US. I no longer travel to Europe because of any Muslim threat but because of the tiresome and continuous anti Americanism.

    And THERE's the vital difference!

Oh right, you actually tracked all of the females that you saw? I'm pretty sure you can't tell how easy or difficult a time someone is having just by glancing at them in the street. Basic mathematical probability will OF COURSE say that you won't see any problems when visiting for a week or two. Just because Malmo is the rape capital of Europe, doesn't mean females are getting raped THAT much that you would've seen it happening in broad daylight on your trip there! This is the worst argument I have EVER heard!

Oh right, that's interesting. How many American cities have scenes such as this?:

And it is still the rape capital of Europe! What do you think that says?

So, if you move to Sweden, don't buy a car or if you do, make sure you have fire insurance on it.

These social problems and this type of crime never existed in Sweden before though.

If you google a map of gun crime in the US you will see a large map of a blue or green US and teeny tiny red areas in clusters around the Southwest and Southeast and some in the Northern Midwest like Chicago and Milwaukee. Everywhere else is extremely low crime or at least tolerable. 1% of the US population sees 26% of all gun crimes.

What do you think these riots are going to do to insurance rates?

The United States is a huge country.

If you take blacks and Hispanics out of the equation America's homicide rate is the same or even lower than many European countries.

If you aren't in a city or metropolitan area run by liberals it's pretty safe.

The thing is, Europe is no longer Europe today just like some parts of America are no longer America today.

The oligarchy are behind globalization and for globalization to succeed the entire world have to be playing on a level playing field.

No way can Mexico, the Middle East, Central America, Africa, Asia and other shithole countries compete with America, Western Europe, and Japan so guess what has to be done ? Massive immigration from shithole countries to America and Europe, lowering the living standards for all except the elite to the level where everyone in the world is on a level playing field.

Basically the world has to be one big shithole.

Then just don't buy a car. Perhaps time for government to ban matches and lighters, place a hefty tax on them, or require a license to possess them.
