Well, no reason to spend 10s of Billions of US Dollars on mail-in voting since we can vote in person.

There is virtually no way for any of my local polling stations to have social distancing and I am from a small-medium city. How will larger cities do this especially with mail in votes and absentee ballots potentially being voided because of trump and his cronies?

He finished with “There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote, in person or otherwise”

 

If you can go get your groceries you can stand up and vote in person. Actually if you can walk you can vote in person.

 

If you vote in person you have to at least be alive. Dead people are usually turned away at the polls.

 

I guess if we observe the same criteria as the millions protesting and rioting without social distancing over the last 2 months, seems like simply voting or standing in line would have the same or less effect.

 

I am not sure a state or county can require someone wear a mask in order to vote but I think we are likely to find out. the problem becomes one of non-maskers standing in that line intimidating older voters who's doctors tell them not to hang around unmasked people. If I am standing in line for groceries, and some idiot is nearby, I can leave and shop another day.

 

Yes they can. Yes it works. I went through the process last Tuesday and it was no problem.
I ask those who complain if over the last 6 months if they have bought groceries, gasoline, any big box store, or participated in a riot
Peaceful protest.
Voting is easier and safer.

Way beyond the Doctor's pay grade. He clarified the in person risk, or lack thereof, he should of stopped there. However, I doubt he thought his comment would be so diagnosed.

Just heard that one of the unions representing the US postal Service has decided to endorse Biden.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, which represents 300,000 current and retired workers, said Thursday that Trump has long been hostile to the Post Office. His administration has called for an end to collective bargaining rights, proposed service cuts and has eyed the possibility of privatizing the functions of the agency.
