Of course. Look at Australia's suicide rate. It's about 1 per 100k lower than ours now I think and has been going upwards for some time now. The countries with the most suicide have little to no civilian ownership of firearms.
I have been saying this for years, My own observations have always been that Hanging tops the suicide hit parade, Why ? Because it is the easiest method and rope is always easy for anyone to get. People even manage to hang themselves in Prison. Suicide prevention or even Suicide reduction by means of Gun control is ludicrous.
