Ahh, nothing to worry about, They can easily solve this issue by bringing in more unvetted immigrants from the Middle East, and giving them entitlements so they can better prepare to uh, be friendly with the natives. Now some may think that solution is dumb and its simple common sense to figure that out, but France disagrees with you because uh........

    Well..

    You see its uh.

They think its offensive I guess.

    What a silly comment!

This incident had NOTHING to do with terrorism
The FRENCH man who drove on the sidewalk in Dijon and injured 11 people has a LONG history of mental illness (157 psychiatric hospitalization to date).

    http://www.lefigaro.fr/actualite-fr...verse-des-passants-en-hurlant-allah-akbar.php

You are totally failing in your new attempt to trigger another bout of Islamophobia!

If you need a translation, feel free to ask!

    - - - Updated - - -

Probably just an imitateur. . .one who has a long history of mental illness, NOTHING to do with jihadist terrorism!

    Sorry to disappoint you!

We don't need to do anything, these nuts are doing a fine job triggering it themselves.

Doesn't matter if he's French or something else. He identified w/terrorists and became one of them......

Anyone who participates in acts of terrorism is certifiably insane.

"Probably just an amateur".... yeah, Sadanie, tell that to the 11 people he injured in his 'amateur' attempt to kill them w/his car. If that had been you or yours who had been mowed down while hearing "Allah Akbar!", you'd be singing a different tune and it wouldn't be a casual 'ho-hum' one that you stated here.

Nope! He didn't "identify" with terrorists, no more than a person with schizophrenia "identifies" with the devil!
He is a sick man, very sick man, and he is upset with the way Palestinians are treated. . .NOTHING to do with Jihadists!

Actually, I am upset with the way Israel treats Palestinians! But since I am not suffering from a long, diagnosed mental health illness. . .I do not go around driving my car on sidewalks!

Why is it so important to you that this sad incident be an "act of terrorism?"

I didn't see you call the many WHITE Americans who committed mass shooting: TERRORISTS?

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh . . . because you live in France and you KNOW what French (and other European) people are thinking, right?

    So funny!

    Neither was this one!

The perpetrator was a FRENCH man, born in FRANCE with a father from Maroc and a mother from Algeria (which, by the way, was a FRENCH Colony until about 1965), and he is just a very severely mentally ill person, who has been diagnosed LONG ago and has gone in and out of psychiatric hospital in France for over 15 years!

Yes why dont you take your own advice with that first reply you made.

Also Im not wrong about the op saying nothing about him being a terrorist or accusing him of being one, which is the whole reason you are in this thread. Feel free to point out where I did.

And - and THAT is your argument?!?

Okay, I guess there's only five responses to your post:

    1) I live and have traveled around on a planet called Earth where generally speaking, if you have one group with a propensity towards violence and suddenly the number of attacks from said group ticks upwards, there's going to be something called "backlash." For the most part, human nature remains relatively constant across the world. As an example -

    2) Because I've heard of this thing called the "internet" I can read up on what the French and people in Europe are thinking. Such as HERE. I could post a lot other articles I've read, but *shrugs* - whatever.

    3) This is a forum that invites debate from all sides and all places. If you feel that certain regions of the world should not comment, please contact the mods and they will discuss changing the rules so as to not offend your delicate European senses. Said discussion will likely end with "So long as no one is breaking the forum rules, anyone from anywhere can comment on anything here."

    4) Since apparently in your world, location precludes discussion in several areas, seeing as your current location is Belgium, you have no say in what happens in, say - the US. So I expect you to say as much in threads where you post, such as - oh, HERE. Because after all, who are you to know what people in the US are thinking, and I wouldn't want you to appear to be hypocritical or anything.

    5) Instead of focusing on the poster with a logical fallacy - the ad homenim, perhaps you could focus on the topic itself? Because really, when all you have is "You don't live in France waaah" it underscores the fact that you have NO argument at all. And you don't.

Ohn and thank you for demonstrating the European mindset and ability to discuss the topic. Your post was funny as well, albeit not in the way you intended.

And I guess I should end it with this - your own words:

Hey Sadanie, you were correct after all! Belittling other members CAN turn against you! :roflol:

How do YOU KNOW he 'didn't identify w/terrorists? Do you know him personally? Witnesses said he was screaming "Allah Akbar!" as he plowed into pedestrians. Doesn't that say something about his state of mind? I would think so.......

Where did I say it was 'important' to me that this incident was a terrorist act? I didn't....I simply pointed out this lone wolf's Arabic screeching of "God is great!" as he tied to murder people is rather telling. I suppose if he ran into the crowd as a suicide bomber and blew himself & others up, screeching his "Allah Akbar!" you'd say 'he's just a very sick man and there's nothing 'terrorist' about what he did.

And now you're playing the race card....not surprising. Be assured, if any white Americans did what this and all the other terrorists did, I'd be saying the same thing......

It doesn't MATTER if he's a Frenchman born in France and his daddy was born wherever and his momma was born in another wherever! So you really believe that the mentally ill can't be swayed into some cult, religion, bizarre way of life?.....whatever catches their interest that wouldn't be in the normal range? Maybe he heard about the Muslim belief that if they kill infidels, they go to Paradise and are met by 72 virgins......who knows?! But the guy was heard screeching "Allah Akbar!" so that should tell you something about his mindset.

There have been Americans who were born here, other people in other countries who became attracted to the lifestyle of terrorists and joined them.......get real.

My point was that, if you check the internet, and read the information provided in English by foreign media, they turn the Dijon incident into a "terrorism" attack. If you read the information provided in FRENCH media and in local newspapers, it clearly state that the motivation for the incident was in no way related to terrorism, but was the action of one single man who has a long, documented history of mental illness and is upset about the way Palestinians are treated by Israel.

NOTHING to do with ISIL or other Jihad terrorism organization.

Otherwise, I do not disagree with most of what you are stating in your long post. I, obviously, also search the internet for much information about the rest of the world. The advantage I have now that I live in Europe is that we have free and easy access to MANY sources of media through TV channels that cover all of Europe (Italy, Germany, Britain, Holland,Belgium, France, Spain) and the US.

As a "world traveler," you probably know that, for some reason, in the US, we can't even get Canadian or Mexican TV channels.

So. . .you called the White, Christian extremists who committed mass murders "terrorists?"

And I know, because I read FRENCH newspaper from the area the incident happened. He has nothing to do with ISIL, but is actually upset (in his very sick mind) with the treatment of PALESTINIANS by ISRAEL.

"Playing the race card?" You stated he was an "immigrant." I corrected that!

I don't give a rat's as if you read every newspaper on the planet! Gawd, you're sounding like another poster. Tone down the arrogance, would ya?

You went on and on that the guy was French, born in France and his daddy and mummy were born here and there, so he couldn't possibly be a terrorist, but only a mentally ill guy and I was saying none of that mattered b/c people inclined to be terrorists come from all walks of life and locations........

I never ONCE said anything about 'white Christian extremists'! Not here or any other post. I do not and have never labeled people by their skin color! And I never ONCE said he was an 'immigrant'.......

Where do you get this stuff from? Never mind......don't feel like reading more babble.

which means it was a terrorists act... he just wasn't one of the group that is also called terrorist most of the time, there are many sub groups of terrorists

the guy that went on a mass shooting at planned parenthood was a terrorists, just not a part of ISIS
