It's nice for the American people to know what's going on in the world, and how serious the situation is - especially in Syria. In August there was a massive terrorist drone attack on Russia's Hymenim base in Syria, which Russia's Deputy Defense Minister said was coordinated by a US reconnaissance aircraft.

The hypocrisy of the US appalls Russia. “They deny being linked to ISIS, while supporting groups that are a part of it. Not only do they help those groups financially, but also with weapons and new technology. Without US foreign aid, armed opposition groups could not last even a week.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Terrorists in Syria are often using unmanned flying vehicles at the time of launching attacks, including at Russia’s Hymenim’s base. Only in August of this year, the base’s anti-air defense systems downed 47 drones.

Is this latest comment by the Kremlin putting the US Navy on notice? Do it again and the P-8 will take a hit?

That the event happened 8 months ago and this announcement is now seems to carry some sort of significance.

    Fort Russ... lol.

It is nice to know what is going on in the world. That is why we have real news services to rely on. Fort Russ is not one of them.

I noticed this earlier. it was apparently released 5 hours ago.

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...t-of-crimea-and-eastern-ukraine-idUSKCN1N01TF

No idea what that is about. Probably electioneering.

One thing which does concern me about the US and confirmed by posters here, is that in its arrogance it could give the Russians the wrong impression and the world finds itself in a situation it did not want but cannot go back on. I understand that communication between the US - and this is not just the Trump Regime, but the US in general and Russia is far worse and more dangerous than it was in the cold war.

At the meeting in the video, Vladimir Putin said that he wondered if the American eagle had eaten all the olives on the branch representing peace, and left only the arrows.

The sheer anger on the faces of the Americans are a sad testimony to those they represent. I can only wonder what Putin must be thinking.

Russia didn't attack anyone. If they were Russian soldiers, you would have a world war on your hands. They were Russian mercenaries helping the locals fight ISIS to retrieve their lands. The US of course supported ISIS - as it always does.

I gather then, that the information I posted about the defense minister saying the drones were coordinated by a US reconnaissance aircraft, had already been mentioned on one of the real news services?

Then you must also know that Moscow considers the oil rich area where the American troops are, as being occupied by American forces - illegally of course?

Thankfully we have the benefit of the pro-russian trolls on this site to inform us, in case we missed the news.

I also get a laugh when they claim there will be a "world war" if russia or its war mongering soldiers are attacked...if putin were to be killed tomorrow and the russian military destroyed, about 6.9 billion people would cheer - that's how popular they are worldwide.

I can corroborate his claims reported here with a Russian news source reporting the same.

    https://www.gazeta.ru/army/2018/10/25/12034555.shtml

But, oh well. He claims that it was the Poseidon 8 recon aircraft that was behind it because, well, it was patrolling over the Mediterranean at the time. It doesn't get more circumstantial than that.

But hey, maybe there really is an "attack" that does no damage to the base, which seems pointless on its surface. Would it be to cause economically poor Russia to expend missiles shooting down cheap targets? I can't imagine any other reason we would bother to "coordinate" some kind of "drone attack" on one of Russia's Syrian bases, apart from simply probing the defensive capabilities of their missile systems. Maybe it's a little of each?

Anyway, aren't the Russians supposed to have awesome radio-jamming capabilities that could render our military capabilities useless? Like here: http://www.politicalforum.com/index...use-36-missiles-to-miss-syrian-target.502718/

The Russians unlike Washington, have never said anything without presenting definite proof, so why wouldn't they do so now? Anyway the Russian defenses worked perfectly, and they knocked the drones down and 2 of them were intact. This is how they realized how technically advanced they were, and that they had to have been directed to their target by the American plane circling the area.

That's what I thought too, that they might want to check their defenses -or maybe even to show the failure of the Russian S 300 and S 400 missile defense systems to potential buyers. Imagine though if Russia decided to check our defenses by attacking our bases under some pretense and what that could lead to?

So, did they ever present proof of this? Where is it?

I don't think you need to worry too much. The reason that Putin is so revered is that he is a very intelligent & experienced man. Brezhnev (and his dumbed-down mentality) is long gone. Vlado understands world politics and the psychology of most world leaders. I think he knows what to take seriously and what to dismiss as a joke.

I thought you were going to tell us what was going on in Syria. Instead you tell us what the Russian propaganda minister is churning out.

Whereas the United States (pre-Trump) never did. Not even when it comes to WMD's in Irak ... or who's supporting ISIS.

Wow, if Russia can't even defend against drones what happens when they face the real military?

And what about famous S300 AA system, did not Putin said several years ago, that we deployed this AA systems in Syria and no one will fly there without our permission? And from this time ower Syria flayed Turks, jews, french, americans and now americans even attacked russian base, if we can believe on word to the people, who use the videos from computer games as "evidence" that US supports ISIS and changed their versions about incident with Malaysia MH17 airplane shoot down in Ukraine at least 3 times. For shure we can believe on word to these people from Russian defence ministry. :)

Syria is all about an oil pipeline, the new silk road, fresh water for Israel, Oded Yonin Plan, and a secure geographical area to launch preemptive attacks on Iran from.

The United States of America - the most dangerous warmongering country on the planet. And they wonder why they're so loathed? :wall::wall:

And once you understand all that you'll solve the puzzle of 9/11 but of course that's too much of a dose of conspiracy for most people to digest.
