Trump abused his power yesterday by having federal police forcibly remove peaceful protesters exercising their constitutional rights. The dumb part is he decided, on a whim, to do a photo op in front of a a boarded up church while he held a bible. Dumb because he is not a church goer. He goes to church now that he's president, but rarely, if you look at the rest of his life, it's just for show. The hypocrisy of using that church in particular rankles. It has a history of inclusiveness that goes back to the 1800s. He's not serving the people, he's serving himself.
Trump does this kind of thing deliberately, his base just loves it as they think it makes liberals heads explode. It did at first but we're used to it and now we like it too, as he loses several thousand voters who were not committed each time it happens. "**** you, we won", isn't at all that good of a reelection slogan.

He was also upset by the reports that he was taken to the bunker. I think the photo op was as much about showing how courageous he is to be out as it was about the bible.
not one of his best moves, especially right after giving a speech about rioting and looting VS peaceful protesting. I highly doubt its gonna make him lose votes though. But feel free to keep dreaming
Where is the evidence of this? And, assuming there is evidence of it, how would it be an abuse of his power? The Secret Service has been moving protesters back to safe distances, securing venues and travel routes, closing roads and airspace, etc. for decades to keep the President safe. I don't see how this is out of line with their normal function.
Well, we are talking about a base so moronic, so pathetic, that they gush giddily when they see a hack painting of him crying, clutching a flag, in the rubble of 9-11. Or when he does something so pathetically cringe-worthy as hug the flag. This little gesture, however ret@@rded, is right down their alley. Guaranteed, in sh11theel trump-land, the memes are just a flying with that photo of him holding the Bible.
For the past 40 years Christian evangelicals have been more than happy to become a Republican photo-op.It's hard to think of this as a religion.
It was not about the Bible, not about religion, not about love of country. It was Trump practicing self love or should it be said love of self.
