You are scraping the barrel if you are relying on lord (prime example of an English hooraw harry peer) Monkton to refute ANYTHING because you really really really do NOT want me to go there with how often he has been caught in blatant lies

Now back to the original piece posted - please explain to this poor Aussie how you can lose $5 billion dollars from the cattle industry if all there was there was desert?

OMG!! I just watched that you tube - it is using clips from Hollywood "disaster" movies to "prove" that climate scientist overstate the potential danger - you DO realise those movies are fictional don't you?

    Bowerbird,

It's best to accept those things in life that can't be changed. Adapt to the new climate.

Making Bowerbird suffer hadn't occurred to me, but now that you have broached the idea it sounds like fun.

Not me you have to worry about old chap - it is the rising price of beef in America.

OR did you think you were just going to wait for the poles to melt then move north?

You have no choice but to accept the new climate for one reason. China and India will not sacrifice their economic development under any circumstances. They demonstrated this at the Copenhagen Conference on Global Warming a couple of years ago. They won't cooperate with the AGW agenda. If they won't it isn't possible to persuade the US to cooperate either. This is the truth that has to be accepted.

They sure are.. China has reached the tipping point with regard to pollution.

My cousins went there a couple of years ago and were stunned at how bad it was..

China opens a new coal fired power plant every week. Week in, week out.

And sometimes it takes that to make humanity wake up to what it is doing. But the real truth is that America has been doing more for pollution for longer without cleaning it's act up - but is still insisting on everyone else on Earth first doing their bit before America even starts to consider doing it's part

And they are STILL building more alternate energy power plants - and they STILL have a smaller carbon footprint per person than America

    Really Bower that is unfair.

    How many Chinese are there?

But as far as Texas cattle is concerned, they have had a terrible drought this year and it will take years to recover...even if things go back to normal next spring.

But climate predictions say different...Texas is in a world of hurt.

    Water will be like gold.

I bought my feeder calves at 1.35 a pound. They are now at 1.49 and a half.

Live cattle were at 1.19 ...now 1.24.

Most cattlemen are predicting high cattle prices for years to come.

BTW...that Santa Gertrudis that is very popular in OZ comes from Texas.

    All decended from one steer.
