Why is it that no one remembers Obama in school?

 

Lots of people who went to school with Obama have come forward. Have you bothered to read their remarks over the past 3 years?

While you're at it. Tell us how many people were in his graduating class and how many were summa cum laude?

 

so you assume that Bush was a legacy admisssion? - perhaps.

then why is it a stretch to assume that Obama was an underqualified affirmative action admittee? and until we see his ALL of his academic transcripts and work product that only safe assumption is Obama was treated to double standards - just like Bush.

and until we see the work product from his work on his "autobiography" the only safe assumption there is to assume that he used a ghost writer.

at least Palin was honest enough to admit that she used a ghost writer.

 

Perry attended and graduated from the College of Agriculture at TAMU and it was and still is ranked #1 in the nation.

Most people criticizing probably don't understand half the words in that letter. It's much easier to let some blog weiner interpret it for them so they can release it to the masses on boards like this.

If I was sukme cum loudly from Harvard I'd give it a go. But I'm not. All I can tell you is my expectations for such a graduate.

This is my interpretation of the right wing piece you cited.

Obama uses big words and long sentences. This is proof he can not write. His writings themselves are proof of not being able to write.

You know what is (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hilarious? Criticism that the president's writing is beyond the intellectual reach of the average right wing blog reader so therefore it is bad. I laugh at folks whose intellectual shortcomings make them criticize others whom are of an obvious higher IQ.

It's not all that deep or intellectual a letter, but the actual criticisms in the article are actually misleading.

For example when he complains of the letter's redundancy, he said obama said something like "some are chosen and others are selected". Wow, Obama screwed up, right?


Well, yes, until you actually read what he wrote:

"Approximately half of this first batch is chosen solely on their performance on the writing competition; the other half are selected on a weighted formula of 70 percent grades and 30 percent writing competition."



The American Thinker article is pretty much garbage.....and a lot of people here have outsourced their ability to think to the rube that wrote it. This article says much less about Obama and more about the person that wrote it and the people who are running with it without any examination.

 

You don't know (*)(*)(*)(*) about his grade because he won't release them. All we know is the "magna cum laude" bestowed upon him could be honorary and not actually earned. Release his grade, then we'll see if he's really an intellectual you lefties think he is.

Those are the current standards enacted because everyone during Obama's time at Harvard graduated with honors. It became so common that honors were cheapened. In the early 00s Harvard had to enact standards.

Graduating magna cum laude at the time Obama did is basically the equivalent of a B average once grade inflation is taken into account.

At least Texas A&M doesn't have a history of grade inflation.
In that aspect, Texas A&M is a more honorable institution than Harvard.
