i am totally aware of that gaggle of armed neighborhood gangs that dominate the urban landscape. Its akin to the muslim version of crips and bloods for crying out loud only its a bunch of different ones and they are united in their enemy. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Its not healthy. When I say baked into the culture I mean its ENFORCED viewpoint of the people. The guys with guns are pretty hardcore, meanwhile your daughter is walking to school every day. Even I'd keep my mouth shut and toe the line at least until she was an adult and I could get her outta dodge. LIfe and love are a series of trade offs every damn day.

Simply said - take care of American interests first and everyone' else, distant second. Every aspect of the American politics under Trump can be viewed through this prism.

    Simple enough.

Did Jordan cede Judea and Samaria to someone whom they stole it from, or did they give them back to their rightful owner?

Well I think most people would agree that american interests should be first.

"A distant second" as foreign policy strategy, sorta flies in the face of keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but hey I get it.

But using that prism, I have to say that Captain Choas is doing a bang up job of distancing america from its traditional allies.

Kinda hard of judging if our traditional allies are really distancing themselves from America, what's with Trump causing "chaos" for little more than a year now. We'll wait and see.

Why? I would think that all nations and all peoples have a right to sufficient and just access to the earth's resources.

[Of course, Trump is dealing with the "rust belt" phenomena in the US that has afflicted all first world economies since the post-WW2 rise of Asia ....but I have already noted that the solution is obviously best addressed along the lines of Keynes' 1944 Bretton Woods proposals, which envisioned a global financial oversight mechanism, rejected of course by conservatives for whom the concept of just access to resources is ....foreign. Then there's Trump's demand of allies to increase military spending, at the expense of education, health, infrastructure; where will it end? ].

    Back to this thread ...

I'm not contributing that much to the discussion because I'm waiting something real. After the UN resolution, I'm curious not about US [this administration will move the US Embassy to Jerusalem without doubt], but about Turkey and the other Muslim countries ... Turkey has said they will open an Embassy c/o Palestine in East Jerusalem ...

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-Turkey-aims-open-embassy-East-Jerusalem.html

I'm not hearing great news about this. Will Ankara respect the UN resolution? Considering that Turkey never respects UN resolutions about Cyprus ... I'm curious.

You assume that a <insert country name here> first somehow deprives other nations of resources. Consideration of one's own benefits is simply human nature.

America first or Britian first or russia first on a human level is natural. ON a political level it can be something entirely different depending on the ideology of those holding political power.

And then there's the association of the phrase with fascist scumbags which should serve to highlight the risks and pitfalls of conceited blinded dedication to it.

Forgive me - all of our bootlickers are still with us, as well as all these whom we keep handy nearby, at the expense of our taxpayers :juggle:

    Correct.

    Correct.

Obviously requiring national and international management of self-serving ideology, if we wish to eliminate entrenched poverty and perpetual warfare, and control criminality, drugs, and gun-running etc.

And as a comfortable 'conservative' (self-stated; confident in US protection), you are happy to merely observe the clash of competing ideologies, while refusing to cede sufficient sovereignty to the UN to allow a just outcome, ie, one which serves the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

There's can't be an embassy mission to the state of Palestine because the State of Palestine doesn't exist.

    From the article you posted:

“It is not clear how he would carry out the move, as Israel controls all of Jerusalem, calling the city its indivisible capital”

Short of war on Israel, that is. Does Erdogan has the balls?

This is what I think too, but it seems that Mr. Erdogan thinks something different. Turkey is among the 123 countries [about] recognizing the State of Palestine.
