Well, what do you know, "the religion of peace" strikes again. Who would have thought. May those Christians rest in peace.
Topically, I noted the following in this morning's BBC news . . . "Theresa May says UK will stand up for religious freedom. The UK must stand up for the right of everyone" to practise their faith in peace." Now if the gormless woman had actually said 'to practise their faith in private, not only would the statement be less banal, but by putting the advice into action, it would ensure no more of these inter-religious atrocities would ever happen again? In other words, if religious people didn't flaunt their several religions in numbers, ipso facto they couldn't be attacked? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-47999795
While only 9.7% of Sri Lanka's population is muslim, there are problems with Islamic terrorism there. You can read about it from the perspective of one Sri Lankan person: https://secure.avaaz.org/en/communi...p_Islamic_terrorism_on_the_rise_in_Sri_Lanka/ also an article in the news: Sri Lanka sees new threats of terrorism, Muslim extremism What a surprise, the Western media is laying all the blame on the Buddhists, portraying muslims as victims. You can read about the same double standards from the media in this thread about conflict in Africa: Persecution of Christians in the Sudan
Human life is sacred in all shapes, sizes and colours. Such a pity that self-righteous hypocrites--amid myopic tunnel vision--cannot "see" the value in Us/We as oppose to their self-absorbed "Me".
