The American public views the Biden economy as in worse shape than any time since February 2009, when the economy was in a deep recession, still staggering from the implosion of the housing bubble, and shocked by the financial crisis that had recently toppled major banks, government-sponsored mortgage companies, Wall Street firms, and insurance companies, a Gallup poll indicates.

Gallup’s Economic Confidence Index, which is a summary of Americans’ ratings of current economic conditions and outlook for the economy, plunged 13 points over the past month to minus 58. The index has a theoretical range from +100 if all respondents describe the economy in positive terms and think it’s improving to -100 if all describe it in negative terms and think it’s worsening.

The June score is the lowest measured since minus 64 in February 2009….

oe Biden did this. He took a great economy on the rebound from a devastating pandemic and then trashed it. By every indication, our economy sucks.

Like he did last time by pushing for quantitive easing prior to COVID to improve his shitty policies?

We saw how he handled the last global issue — he was removed for it.

How many times do the people have to vote against him before y’all grasp what the nation wants?

They never will. They actually believe the Nation wants to live in a theocracy as well.

    Sad.

    NO Chance...
The GOP May be able get someone like DeSantis Elected...
    ZERO Chance for Trump...
Especially, after the Jan. 6 Hearings...

I still don't agree with you, but hopefully Trump doesn't run so that we don't have to find out

Personally, as a Democratic Voter, I would LOVE to see Trump run in 2024...
Given his baggage, and built-in negatives, he would be by far the easiest to defeat...
In the current environment, DeSantis is light-years ahead of Trump in terms of "electability" (in the Gen Election)...

I agree that the Dems would have their best shot, but unless the economy is significantly better by 2024, Biden won't beat anybody

The restaurant I ate lunch at today told me they are having trouble getting some food items from suppliers. A blind person can see what is coming. Expect the Biden economy to result in food shorages this fall, rising food prices, and people unable to heat their homes this Winter. To some extent, I think the economy will be propped up until after the mid-terms. Then reality will set in. BTW, I noticed the military is having trouble finding recruits. The Army has dropped the requirement for a high school diploma and backed off on their tatoo policy. No doubt Biden forcing soldiers to take experimental drugs is a factor in declining recruitment. Is there anything Biden can touch without F-ing things up? His cowardly, dishonorable, and inept middle of the night flight from Afghanistan was an indicator of how things were going to go.

And before some liberal reponds with a comment about Putin or blaming all of our problems on the world, I will say in advance. Putin is your Emmanuel Goldstein. Since many liberals have probably never read Orwell, you might have to look up who that is.

I do not think that he will run again unless the democrat opponent is going to be Biden, Harris, or Clinton. If democrats clear all that out of there then I expect De Santis or Tim Scott or Nikki Haley. A De Santis -Haley or Noem or Scott ticket would be hard to beat.

I just don't see with his ego him not running, unless he has health issues

Plus, we may not know until late 23 what the Dem field really looks like, I would think he would have to decide by early next year

These political theatre hearings only impress the left. Most American understand that the clown show hearings and Dems continued focus on Trump are a contrived destraction from the many failures of the Biden administration. Does Biden ever offer any solutions for problems. Apprently not, because all the Dems can talk about is Trump.

The nation doesn’t want high gas prices, empty shelves, insane crime, a poor economy, humiliation in Afghanistan, an invasion by illegals, mandatory experimental injections, a ministry of truth, their 2A restricted, CRT in schools, groomers, wokeness, a cackling VP and a president with mental impairments.

You think people will care about the hearings 2 years from now with all the new and exciting misery Biden has yet to unleash on us?

If the election was today, Trump would beat Biden, let alone 2 years from now

So long as home prices keep falling. I’d like houses in the bad areas to get under 800k around here.

The Dems know this. Therefore, their strategy appears to be straight from the banana republic playbook, i.e., implement a coup by arresting Trump on bugus criminal charges, eliminating the Supreme Court via "packing"., and rigging the mid-terms. Many of the younger American are dumbed down by the public school education system, have never taking a government class, an American Civilization class, or a basic economics class, and will probably think the overturning of America's Constitutional form of government is a great thing.

They are only talking points to the privileged and elite. To regular Americans all of those "talking points" are real. Maybe you could actually address one or more of what you call talking points instead of dismissing them with a cute rejoinder.

    85% of Americans are right.

S&P 500 posts worst half-year since 1970 as recession fears mount

"Rate of core PCE eases, headline PCE rises, Personal Income in line, Consumption misses; Atlanta Fed GDPNow tracks Q2 contraction, signalling potential technical recession."

"Fed GDPnow model tracking an economic contraction of 1.0% in Q2 – if confirmed in official data later in July, it would imply a US “technical” recession of two consecutive quarters of negative real GDP growth."

The economy is heading down the tubes. Doesn't really bother me too much though. Other than my student loans, most of my debt is paid off; i have no plans or need to undertake any new debt; and my paternal grandparents and a couple of my sibblings keep a lot of cash I can tap into if need be. I don't have much economic fear that the GOP can fiddle. Sorry Not Sorry.

No job or home at risk if there’s a big recession? Must be nice to be a dependent upon others if things go south instead of being one others can depend upon…
