    After five and a half years of Obama's so-called "recovery" (the recession ended in June 2009), let us compare the stock market during the two years leading up to Trump's election to what it looks like now.

    From your post i understand that you advocate selective data

    The first year of a presidency might have some carry over effect from the previous administration and any new policies have not had time to fully impact the economy

    Therefore I think the 2nd year of a presidency reveals the most

    How about we compare the 2nd year of obama and 2nd year of trump.... and use percentages

    Trump 2n year. -5%

    Obama 2 year plus 18%

    Btw. The third year increase was 11%. How is trump doung this year?
