Oh, I know, but it's worse in Muslims countries. And yes, they use Islam to justify it.

Dude, look, spare me your human shield act. I am the first to criticize Christian groups for being the ones pushing child marriage. You aren't mounting a defense of Islam with the human shield act. In fact, people like you make things much worse, as you make it harder for the moderate Muslims to reform their religion.

No one was ever converted with the sword in Christianity, simply because they can't be. It has to be accepted through a person's own will. This doesn't mean that they didn't follow their leader's example - or maybe their threats and get baptized. But it only gave them the potential to become a Christian, it can't make them one.

What converted people were the teachings and miracles of the Apostles which according to some accounts were even more than Jesus' - as well as that of the Saints that came after them. The shrines that were all over Europe, are the places of their martyrdom.

It wasn't an easy task converting pagans, or there wouldn't be barbarism today after 2 thousand years. The world should thank them also for the humane Judaic/Christian laws which are now universal.

I do not think you know what conversion by the sword means.

Regardless - conversion by the sword was the rule for the 1000 years of horror.

This also happened in WW2. "Covert or die" !! Many folks convert.

There wasn't thousands of years of horror. There were tens of thousands of years of horror until the Apostles and Saints began to edify people and stopped the human sacrifices and other inhumane pagan practices.

As for WWII, what people were forced to convert other than the Serbs by the Croatian Ustashe? They followed a false interpretation of Catholic doctrine by a bishop who was later excommunicated. Other than them there was no one. How could there be since the communists were atheists, and the Nazis were pagans.

The Serbs were who I was referring to and you claim that only one bishop was involved is completely false- as is your revisionist history of the 1000 years of horror under Christian Theocracy.

Do you feel that "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" is a little bit over the top?

This is actually a thread on Islam and their international intentions. Gaddafi gave a good speech on the subject that's worth watching.

So, you have arrived at an unambigous interpretation of Exodus? May I suggest you publish your findings as there are so many obscurities, coded messages and contradictions in that book we could all benefit from your divinely gifted interpretation.

Dude, I'm an atheist and give such a big pile of poop to every religion that he could have come from a gigantosaur.
But I am tolerant of any religion and consider it like the old Prussian King Frederick the Great: Everyone should be happy in my country, no matter what he believes, as long as he abides by the laws and rules!

What excites me about these infinite and completely idiototic hate rants of so many jerks is that they declare an entire religion of about 2 billion people a plague, because around 1% abuses religion to justify terrorism, maybe another 2% like it find and support and maybe another 10% are fundamentalists!

And what upsets me is that it's just us in the West who prevent any development of moderate Muslims, including something like real democracy and all of those things. Take Saudi Arabia and imagine there are fat protests against the dictatorial royal house with demand for democracy, legal state and abolition of Sharia as the legal basis etc. ... in short same consitutional rights as you have in the USA! What do you think will happen? The USA will support the royal family and not the protestors!

So ... who is now damaging moderate Islam again?

Actually, it is the Islamic fundamentalist that USE religion to justify terror.

[3.151] We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they set up with Allah that for which He has sent down no authority, and their abode is the fire, and evil is the abode of the unjust.

No abuse of the religion required. That's why many view the entire "religion" AS DEFINED in the Koran and Hadiths to be a plague. It would be a plague if 100 people followed it. Doesn't stop being a plague because its 2 billion

That verse is specifically about the battle of Uhad. That we and they are not just anybody.
But do keep up ripping things out of context and look like a muslim hater to all.

Made up nonsense. Why don't you point to the passage that limits "those who disbelieve" to those who live in Uhad that disbelieve

Tortured and twisted interpretations can give you any meaning you like. Literal interpretations cannot.

Well, except being subservient to the Christian god involves "do unto others as you would have them do to you" to "love your enemy" and "turn the other cheek" to him when stricken.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’

In contrast to being subservient to the commandments to the Muslims to "fight", "kill" "slay" and "smite the necks" of the unbelievers "until....religion should only be for Allah"

All religions are not the same any more than all political parties are the same. In fact islam claims to be both.

That you have no interest or understanding of religions raises the question of why you're even participating on this thread.

    Agreed

"Islam is not merely a belief, so that it is enough merely to preach it. Islam, which is a way of life, takes practical steps to organize a movement for freeing man. Other societies do not give it any opportunity to organize its followers according to its own method, and hence it is the duty of Islam to annihilate all such systems, as they are obstacles in the way of universal freedom. ...
This religion is really a universal declaration of the freedom of man from servitude to other men and from servitude to his own desires, which is also a form of human servitude; it is a declaration that sovereignty belongs to God alone and that He is the Lord of all the worlds. It means a challenge to all kinds and forms of systems which are based on the concept of the sovereignty of man; in other words, where man has usurped the Divine attribute." Qutb

;We shall not rest until we raise the flag of Islam over the White House.....Today, in every country we look at worldwide, we see that the love of martyrdom is spreading like wildfire every day,; Ali Shirazi, Supreme Leader Ali Khameneis representative on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps

"We do believe, as Muslims, the East and the West will one day be governed by the Shariah.....Indeed, we believe that one day, the flag of Islam will fly over the White House". Anjem Choudary

Their fascination was arisen after the defenders of democracy and the
defenders of other such false ideologies (who have no religion) defended democracy simply for the sake of it, and they mixed the falsehood with the Truth.
..... They distort the Truth with Falsehood, and mix the Light with the Darkness, and the Polytheism of democracy with the Monotheism of Islam. But we, with the help of Allah, replied to all of these fallacies, and showed that democracy is a religion. But it is not Allah’s religion. It is not the religion of monotheism, and its parliamentary councils are just places of polytheism, and safe havens for paganistic beliefs. All of these must be avoided to achieve monotheism, which is Allah’s right upon His servants. We must destroy those who follow democracy, and we must take their followers as enemies - hate them and wage a great Jihad against them.

That's nice. But I declared Islam a plague, which is a set of ideas. It appears to me that you need to take some time to refine your thoughts.

    http://www.ccg.org/weblibs/study-papers/q003.html

That this is about the battle of Uhud is mentioned all over. And so this "we" and "they" business has to do with those people.

You've probably heard the phrase 'Kalam Fadi' or 'Halas ya Harta'.
Islam is NOT a religion of peace.

I wasn't referring to the "we" and "they" business and was instead speaking of the "those who disbelieve" business. And you point to writings of some Ali Imram because nowhere in the Koran is "those who disbelieve" limited to those who disbelieve in Uhud. AND not even Ali states that the verse is so limited.

Oh sure... just pick half a sentence to than pick the context that fits your hate agenda... oh who not? lol
You picked a line from the story around what went on in Uhud. I proved it.
A bit late to start crying crocodile tears.
