OK. Let's hear it. What do you think will happen in this year's election? I'm going a bit optimistic: Hillary will decidedly win the Presidential race. Democrats take Senate by a slim margin. Republican will lose a few seats in the House but not enough to turn the majority over.
Obviously. That is exactly how it is going to happen. Hillary wins big. Dems get to 50 in the Senate (enough for control with Hillary as POTUS). GOP loses some House seats, but retains control. All 3 of those things have been accepted wisdom for quite awhile (at this point). The only thing even remotely "iffy" is the Senate (where several races have recently become more volatile than expected).
I don't make predictions, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a result where Republicans are whining about a "rigged election" and the Dems get less seats in the House despite winning a majority of the House votes.
In 2012 Dems won a 48.8% to 47.6% plurality (receiving 1.4 million more House votes than the GOP). The GOP won 234 House seats to 201 for the Dems.
It's time for a new improved SCOTUS to end the crooked republican gerrymandering of house districts. If trump the cry-baby hadn't slept through civics class, he would know the only thing "rigged" are the house districts. He's a moron.
Though I dislike Hillary Clinton, necro-ing old threads like this is stupid. Everyone will be wrong about an election at some point.
I find enjoyment in making fun of those who were so obnoxiously sure about the outcome of the election.
I'll admit, I thought Hilla had a good shot at winning, and said so a few times. I have no problem admitting I was wrong. The problem is that we had SO MANY POSTERS who SWORE Trump had zero chance and making hundreds of threads on that topic (Gorn Captain) and literally thousands of posts swearing that Hilla would win the EC vote in a landslide and proclaiming themselves Nostradamus on the subject (Jackson) and posters like LibChik et al who simply disappeared after the election - at least under their former names - it's hard NOT to make fun of them. Making a mistake - yeah, we all get something wrong sometimes. But when one's pride leads one to profess infallibility - well, you know the saying about pride and falls. And most of the necro-ing of threads that's happened has involved mocking the very same posters who kept hammering the same inevitable Hilla win not just once or dozens of times, but well into the hundreds, who gave themselves no way out. They went beyond saying they THOUGHT Trump would lose, they SWORE he would lose HUGE. There's a difference. That kind of hubris led to what we're seeing here. Let's also NOT forget that we had posters (I'm looking at YOU, Natty Bumpo!) who spent four years after 2012 having a laugh at the right-wing posters here who said there's be a "Romney Landslide" by using that same phrase over and over and over and over again. FOR. FOUR. YEARS. Heck, he even tried it on me once, only to be faced with my quoting myself saying I thought Romney would lose. So while in principle I agree with you, in practice - these guys brought the perma-mocking on themselves. And what the heck - on the off-chance that he's actually reading this, I might as well address Andrew Jackson seriously just this once: Until you formally address this with a Mea Culpa thread, you're always going to be remembered for going overboard on an incorrect prediction. You've said it occasionally in threads that you guessed wrong, but considering the sheer scope and scale of what you did in the months prior to the election, right up to starting a thread where you put your membership on the line with people taking your bet, to saying in no uncertain terms that Trump would never be prez thousands of times, you're going to have to step up to the plate, start a thread admitting you were wrong - and you weren't just wrong, you were out there proclaiming almost godlike prescience about the election, that's a bit further than most people went - and let the board have its catharsis. I think you'll find the place would be willing to forgive and forget if you apologized with the same gusto that you used before the election. Or maybe it doesn't matter to you, I dunno. I just figure maybe you're getting tired of being known as the guy who went off the deep end predicting Hilla would win.
Utterly ridiculous. Textbook TROLL behavior. Bumping a thread after 11 months? At many forums that is worthy of an infraction. Sadly, PF still has an abundance of RW trolls with Clinton Derangement Syndrome. And, on topic, the polls were pretty much spot on (within an acceptable margin of error) as far as the Popular vote.
But, as you know, the popular vote doesn't matter - and so, you remain every bit as wrong now as you were when you disappeared on election night. Zero chance. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I don't disagree with anything you said. I had my fun as soon as they announced Trump won. I'm just talking about digging up washed up threads. I still rub it in their face when it's relevant
Amen , they made fools of themselves for months while trying to belittle the folks that were right all along. Lol, oh them guys.. Ha Ha.
Remember the mountains of "Hillary Landslide" threads? Seems hard to find a Hillary fan these days. Every liberal lies and denies supporting her.
You may be right but for those of us not here at the time it's nice to see who the all knowing 'seers' were.
Try to find a thread talking about how awesome Hillary is. Most of them are just, "she's gunna win", threads. The same people who pushed the landslide are the same people pushing the Russian nothing burgers,
