So you agree with Trump we should get rid of the EC. Why is this like pulling teeth from you? Why does posting something Trump said, which you agree with, refute that is the left/liberals/Democrats who are calling for the end. Just witness the sides taken in this forum. Trump certainly does NOT speak for the conservative side. He's all over the place.

I don't agree with what donald said, as I explained.

Since you have such a hard time fairly and honestly characterizing my statement, a trait you have demonstrated innumerable times in the past, just quote my statement verbatim if you have a question about it.

There you go again. Where did I say it refuted anyone, other than your OP. donald is certainly not "the left".

Wait, are your really trying to say donald is "the left"?

What part of the country would that be? I'm sure the Jew hating and white hating Louis Farrakhan and all his followers like the black caucus would welcome you to his world. Then you have the white hating bitch Hillary who is still looking for voters to put her over the top.

More Americans voted for Hillary, than for trump. Geography is entirely irrelevant.

The only thing you discounted was the "revolution" part although it would clearly be revolutionary if we got rid of the EC.

    This part
"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy. The phony electoral college made a laughing stock of our nation. The loser one! This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy! Our nation is totally divided! The world is laughing at us. Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble...like never before. We can't let this happen. Lets fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. "

Do you agree yes or no?

So what, that doesn't bely the fact that it is the left leading the charge

    No, Trump is Trump.

because in a democracy people could vote to deny black people the right to vote, women the right to vote, white people the right to vote. We could make homosexuality a crime punishable by death. Who didnt teach you this?

What does it mean by "disaster"? What does it mean by "phony electoral college system"? What does it mean by "loser"? What does it mean "election is a total sham and a travesty"? What does it mean by "not a democracy"? I disagree that "Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble...like never before." What does it mean "fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice!"?

Please clarify what you're asking then I can address your question.

I disagree that donald is the left.

    What a keen mind.

Why should states like California determine the outcome. They believe in open borders and have no interest in the protection of the lawful citizens of the United States. The majority of the country also subscribes to "rule of law".

Why should a candidate that most americans voted AGAINST win an election?

Republicans also favor open borders and have no interest in protecting lawful citizens. It's why they've done **** all about it the past 40 years, despite holding super majorities more than once.

Under the current system the states are responsible for counting the votes, and there is no incentive for a state to fake some of the votes because it's a winner take all system. Remove that and there will be potential for massive vote fraud and disputed election outcomes.

Having each of the individual states being responsible for counting the votes is about decentralization of power and helps ensure political stability.

I don't disagree but we finally had a candidate that said "enough is enough" and he was elected. The RNC called me yesterday and told me how they had missed me and could I donate $60.00 for the upcoming elections. I politely told the caller "No" but call me when you pass the law to fund the wall. My own Congressman is a open borders type Republican and I have no intention of helping him get re-elected.

LOL, why would you think I'm a mind reader?

You're asking me whether I agree with him, and you can't even tell me what he means.

You never surprise me with your silliness.

The question to you is do you agree with him the EC should be eliminated. And as far as the OP you refuted nothing.

So you quote someone and then claim you dont know what they were saying.

Go dance with someone else, the rest of us are actaully trying to discuss the issue not merely pick petty fights.

The EC is not going away. People complain about it all the time and have for at least a half century.

Because we are the United States of America so it's the states that get to elect the president.

If we were the United People of America then yeah, the popular vote would determine the winner.

I see pros and cons both ways, but for the most part I'm okay with the system as it is.

in reality, the GlobalistMarxistHumanistProgressiveSJWs don't care for the popular vote, either.

See: Brexit. they're working overtime to nullify it.
