VOLKSWAGEN E GOLF goes more than twice as far... hardly more expensive.

That's more expensive than an electric car.

Your idea that the batteries haven't improved in over 100 years, is fake.

For the car, yeah... that's how it works. I'm not nitpicking that the oil is in fact biological material.

You need to back it up.

    /care

I be referring to my previous post. Also ... you have no knowledge about electric cars because you never had one. So you got no clue if the maintenance is cheaper. I sourced it is.

I sourced it. So yeah I did.

You aint no expert. You admit you never owned an electric car, so...
    such a fail.

As I already pointed out... an electric car breaks on it's engine to power up again. And I sourced the repairs much lower. You got no references for electric car maintenance, if I took your word for it... and I don't.

I sourced how it is. I don't need to rely on your alleged experiences. And you have no experiences with electric cars... so you aint no expert.

I never stated the solar panel is free. I put up that you make a profit after a certain amount of years.
It of course is based on how much the oil price is. Oil is getting more expensive.... the sun doesn't.
    My argument stands.

    Back to the OP:
You can't fill up your tank of gas with no electricity.
And you were able to get a fully charged battery with your own solar panels.

I already sourced that electric cars have far less maintenance.

There really is a cost return on it... get over it already.

well then the gas cost factors in as well then.
or you could just trickle it up, that's what I understand. just like you wont need a full tank if gas every day, maybe just bump it from 60 up to 70 or 80. most people (good candidates) wouldnt need to fast charge very often. iirc public chargers would be fast chargers. I looked into it just to humor myself and it looks like I could go from my place in south fl. to North Carolina and with very little charging hassle, purely hypothetical with a car capable of a level 3.

you could top off while eating, etc. not perfect, but doable. gas is easiest for sure, but to be honest with you I rented a car for my last trip to avoid putting 1k miles on mine. So even if I had an electric car I can certainly still rent a gas vehicle for a long trip over a short time It's not like there aren't options.

I guess what I'm saying is that most of the complaints or criticisms about electric vehicles are really only problems for the people that own them it's not like we're being forced to buy them... yet.

That's not how it works in anything. Batteries don't generate they store. Being correct isn't nitpicking.

stupid claim. I've never had an ATV but I do have knowledge on them.

Someone can "source their claim about the lock Ness monster, it doesn't make it true.

    Ownership doesn't equal expertise.

This putting wear and tear on the motor (no engine).
Again if you "sourced a claim" about the lock Ness monster that doesn't make it true.

Don't take my word for it, I hope you don't. Disregarding experts is how crappy car companies stay in business.

    So you possess psychic powers?

Doubtful. I've worked on more electric vehicles than you even know exist.

And ICE have very little maintenance these days but electric cars can break too, you have four motors that can break. An electric system that can break.

Our oil is rather cheep and we have a glut. And after 13 -15 years perhaps, I could also double my money in such time investing it. I can fill up with a hand pump but gas stations have generators to run their pumps and plenty of gas to fuel it. And I can't take my solar panels with me. I had to go visit a customer today, 175 miles up, 175 miles and I still had to go to the store and get groceries when I got home.

My gas bill is separate from my electric bill and it runs $45 to $55 in the middle of winter.

It's comical how they calculate the mileage an electric car can go on one charge. A 180lb man in a level surface with NO accessories (ie: air conditioning, heat or headlights on).

what's funny is... they buy these vehicles to save money, yet they had a good workin vehicle but decided to trash it & spend tens of thousands of dollars just to save a coupla bucks on gas... silly, isn't it.
