These issues are complicated even further when an event like a Public Information Act request or e-discovery for litigation happens. Sending official government communications through a non-government channel means that the government either cannot produce those records (or use them in their own defense) or they have to shoulder the cost of having someone search through your personal emails for official government records. While your government may claim that they did not know about the records, a court may find that this is a failure to control government information and constitutes spoliation, which could result in colossal fines and sanctions.

 

And that’s exactly what Hillary did. For her entire time as SOS.

The problem is that you, CNN and Cummings et al hope upon hope and count on us being terribly stupid. The article NEVER said that using personal servers to conduct official business is illegal. CNN and Cummings just yelled and hollered, and ranted and raved that it was being done and hoped that we dummies would infer illegality. Your clever denials and tricks are about as subtle as a train wreck. So I repeat one last time for the record: It is not illegal to use one's personal server or email or phone to conduct official business, and that is not why we say, "lock 'er up!"

 

The Comey-led FBI, and its well-publicized politically-motivated goon-squad have done this to themselves, and, most unfortunately, done great damage to the confidence that we Americans have always had in the FBI, as well as the esteem with which we have held it since its founding. It just makes you sick! This FBI/"Justice" Department collusion in favor of Hillary Clinton was worthy of something that the Gestapo might have pulled....

Just out of curiosity, have you really not heard the latest news involving a very damning statement from former FBI 'highlighter', Lisa Page about how the "Justice" Department and the FBI conspired to let Hillary get away with her crimes?

Hey - I think they should be investigated (as Hillary was) to see if they've done anything wrong. If they have, charge them. If not, let them be. I'm not hypocritical. Same treatment for both.

And honestly, if others are using personal accounts to do official work and that is against regulations, they should be held accountable; but not until Hillary is held accountable. Not one minute before she is brought to trial!

You mean the emails that were not marked classified, but whose status was later changed to classified? And the fact that she and her staff expressly moved conversations from the private server to the official government channels when they wanted to discuss classified things?

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of Trump lemmings. They want H Clinton to go to prison even though her conduct was investigated and cleared, but they don't even want in investigation into the conduct of Jared and Ivanka - let alone chanting "lock her up".

 

I have learned that it's pointless to try to convince you of some of the realities involving the transmission, reception, and retransmission of classified information. And I've also seen that you steadfastly refuse to acknowledge that Hillary HERSELF authored and sent no fewer than 104 emails with classified information in them "in the clear", on her unprotected server.

So, what I'll tell you is this -- if it can be seriously alleged that Jared or Ivanka did exactly what Hillary Clinton did, then I'll be the first to demand that both of them are charged and brought into court to answer for these crimes against national security and classified information! There -- are you even beginning to understand that all we on the Right want is EQUAL application of the LAW?!
