This link says that with the latest DNA testing available, there is a 0.06% false positive rate. (That's 6 out of 10,000)
It also says that "one of their advantages is that if women test negative, they can avoid having an invasive diagnostic test, which can cause miscarriages in roughly 1 out of 600 women."
But this newer test is not yet regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

    Have you adopted one yet???
Paid for the medical care of one for the first years of it's life?

Have you at least arranged to care for one while their stressed overworked caregiver gets a rest??

What have YOU DONE FOR THEM....???????????

And the CHOICE is still the woman's........what don't you get about women do NOT need YOUR approval to get an abortion....:)

Exactly. My late bestie had a child with DS. He had a congenital heart defect and did not see his 5th birthday. My bestie was pro choice.

My gawd, you must hate her!!!

WHY would I want her dead? WHERE did I ever say BORN PERSONS should be dead?

YOU are the one calling her your ****niece !!!!!!

:roflol::roll: They MADE you "volunteer" ? Hilarious,,,,that isn't "volunteering"....uh, sounds more like court ordered community service. LOL!!!

    What lesson did you learn?

Did you want to trade places with these people?

Now, back up your statement and show where I said I wanted those people killed....you can't, you lie, because I never said that...

    .

"we"? Do you have a multiple personality disorder?

No, I don't but Anti-Choicers need to lie to have any argument at all :)

Except I wasn't attacking kids or calling them names as YOU DID YOUR "****niece" for instance.

    """""""""""reallybigjohnson said:
    My ****ing niece""""""""""""

Irrelevant, this thread is about Down's.

NO where did I say that but Anti-Choicers need lies because they have no real arguments.

No, I did not. The "primary factor " is that pregnant women have a right to choose what they do with their bodies....ya know, pregnant women, the people you keep overlooking.

It IS a reason, although women need no reason at all:)

That would be YOUR racist thought, I never said that.

Again, Anti-Choicers have to lie because they have no good argument to take away women's rights.

None of that has anything to do with women's right to have an abortion :) :)

You keep bringing up stupid points. First you say that its to costly to have Down's babies then you run around crying "would you trade places with them" which is an equally absurd argument that I just showed everyone here how absurd it is. You keep claiming that you never said Down's babies should be aborted but I already posted it you just are pulling a Trump and denying it happened. Its not my fault that you can't read.

Yes they did. Foxhastings has repeatedly said that its OK for Down's babies to be aborted because they are more expensive. Nevermind the fact that there are tons of conditions in "normal" people that are also expensive. Then she switched to the quality of life argument crying "you wouldn't trade places with them" ignoring the fact that I wouldn't trade places with a women or a fat person either doesn't mean those people should be aborted.

I am pro choice. If you want an abortion because you don't want a child then so be it. If you want an abortion just because your kid isn't perfect then I have a problem because that puts in you eugenics and Nazi territory. Having an abortion till you get the lucky genetics lottery is no different than the euthenasia programs enacted by the Nazis when they made the same arguments about people being a drain on society and their quality of life wasn't as good. Pretty soon they can screen for babies that might be prone to being overweight or have bad eyesight or maybe they won't have high enough IQs. You tell me where it stops. You either want a baby or you don't. Unless its a major life threatening defect like some nervous system degenerating disease or being born without a brain then you get what you get. No eugencs......period as that never ends well.

You got to wonder what's going to happen when prenatal tests for ADHD become available...

It is, and that cannot be denied.

    First it's not a statement, it's a question, a question YOU can't answer :)

You have no proof you showed anyone anything...

WHERE? I never said they should be I said it was the pregnant woman's choice.......you know, the pregnant woman, the one issue you keep avoiding...

WHO can't read? You keep claiming I posted things that I never posted...but I understand that Anti-Choicers MUST lie because they really have argument.

No, I never said that.....but I understand that Anti-Choicers have to lie since they have no argument.

But the topic is Down's.....and women may abort for any reason they choose :nana:

That wasn't a switch, that was you being unable to answer a question :)

Godwin's law....and all the rest, irrelevant blather...

WHO do YOU think you are that YOU can decide for others whether to have an abortion or not.......the answer is clear.... ;)

For example, in China, if the woman has a girl fetus but wanted a boy.

Never mind the unhealthy gender imbalance that's creating in many parts of the country...

Yet India and China have both passed laws trying to prevent the woman from finding out the gender of her baby, trying to take away her informed choice. How do you feel about that?

OOOh, I got hopeful when I saw you actually had the nerve to reply to a post but I should've known it would be off topic.....and that you'd continue to avoid those inconvenient questions :)

Have you adopted any Down's babies yet? Why not???

So women should be able to abort in the case of Down's but not other conditions?
Just what reasons do you think are appropriate for a woman to abort. Oh I forgot, "ANY REASON she chooses..."

I suppose that could include likelihood of having ADHD, not being tall enough, having brown eyes...

In fact in the future, prenatal genetic screening will be able to give us a complete read out of the child's predicted future and what physical and personality traits it is likely to have.
From there the woman could decide whether she wants to abort and try the pregnancy all over again.

From there it's not a big jump to genetic modification...

Ever see that Outer Limits episode Unnatural Selection ?

:roflol: Anti-Choicers "proof"....old TV shows.....maybe contact someday with real life will help you out....

YES, a woman can choose to abort for ANY reason....being pregnant does NOT mean you give up your rights.....

When you get pregnant you can decide, for YOURSELF.....unless you want to be controlled like an animal??

Have you adopted any Down's babies yet? Why not???
