    I am a licensed Real Estate broker puppy. And you are not. I can study prices in a matter of seconds.

    Let me return to Lemma for a moment. I did not ask him his reason to rent to just blacks. I presume since I sold him other homes that he rented to whites, he may have just been unfortunate. Not perhaps because of race, but how those he rented to kept ripping him off.

    Every time he got rid of a tenant, I know this. Lemma busted his butt to restore his property to pristine condition.

    OK, admittedly my price of a million dollars is far off. Actually one today is for sale in his building for $415,000 and has been on the market for 33 days. Where that condominium is dooms it to lower prices than here in my city.

    But still compared to what he paid, it is a great deal more.

    Here in CA he can go to prison for that. I am guessing why all of his renters were blacks. I shall never ask him about that.

    What would happen to any normal adult who didn't pay their mortgage/rent, electricity, water, food, car payment, desktop or laptop payment for four years, and decided to call it a student loan. That'd rack up quite a debt. But not to worry because if borrowing basic living expenses isn't crazy enough, Elizabeth Warren will pay that debt by taking the money from wealthy people.

    The value of a free college education is worth exactly what the student paid for it.
    on a positive note, free college would mean there would be no professors that never set foot in the classroom and draw nearly $700,000 from their coffers over a two year period, (hear that Fauxahontas?)

    I basically agree. I wouldn't restart the interest though. I don't see much of a need for making struggling young works have to pay interest. I would make the debt garnished from wages so it will be paid.

    That is only because our college degrees show an employer something far, far more priceless than skills taught in any college any of us went to. The degree itself shows the employer that you are an intelligent person with the discipline needed to remedy challenges to any project you are getting paid to manage.

    Dicipline alone means nothing now. Employers are looking for people with the right skills signing on. You can have all the dicipline possible, but if you don't have the technical skills, you won't be hired.

    Exactly. And the modern MathEngrSci degree, itself, ensures that you were taught serviceable IT skills and it accents the ability to quickly learn new IT skills.

    Shouldn't the lender have some responsibility if they failed to make an adequate risk assessment of the borrowers (in this case both the students and the institutions)? Perhaps the government should be doing some "claw-back" on some of the loans paid to schools which didn't live up to their promises, while imposing tighter restrictions on loans moving forward.

    Personal responsibility. Nobody made them take out a loan. The students are borrowing money on a bet on themselves, some win some lose.

    I bet we could outsource our free college educations to Mexico.
    I'm sure they would be happy to provide college educations in English there for only a small fraction of what it costs in the U.S.
