No, it would not. SpaceX would be just as busy building Starlink, but that is limited to geosynchronous solutions. The real challenge, and money, is meeting the governments plans to go into deep space.

 

I really dont think he will cut SS because he cant do that unilaterally, at least not now. But if the repubs get all three bodies, they may do just that. It would make that an irrelevant party for the next 30 years, but I dont put anything past these people. remember, these people still believe in trickle down theory in 2024.

Hopefully the system of checks and balances, and the distributed power structure and checks a balances stay in place, but again, I wont hold my breath. I truly believe that the repubs are going to fundamentally change America in these next 4 years, and not in a good way. If they do, it will be every man for himself, but one thing is a certainty under these current batch of republicans, the Jeff Besos and the Elons Musks of the world will gain an even greater share of the american pie, and the working class will loose what little power they have left.

 

Wrong…..They could have paid NASA, but congress has cut their budgeted ever year. The Year congress gave Elon $185 BILLION, they gave NASA $500 MILLION. Gee, I wonder who did that….

NASA is US government and they dont make rockets. And Elon put $100 something million into electing Trump. His net worth increased $27 BILLION the day after Trump was elected. Now you know why Elon spent so much money promoting Trump for President. He is so much better for the economy among other things. I dont believe he gave ANY money to Trump.

Everybody (who deals in reality) knows that any attempt to get massive spending cuts targeting "waste, fraud, and abuse" is a delusional pipe dream.
After entitlements, defense, and interest on the national debt, what is left is "discretionary spending"...
Every bit of that spending has a dedicated lobby and a member of Congress who considers it a pet project...
The Congressional motto (when it comes to "cuts") is "Cut everybody, but don't cut me"...

Well, for those that believe Trump will crash the market: sell all your assets and equities and go to cash. Then, after the market crashes, buy back in = double or triple your money when the market comes back. And, if every dem would sell all at once, it would crater the market, and make Trump look bad. This is a win/win. Sell now!

 

I wonder why Trump fans didn't do just that when Biden took the WH? After all, Trump told them that the market would crash like never seen before if he wasn't elected. On the other hand, I haven't seen any Democrat claiming that the market would crash if Trump was elected.

Elon and Spacex are good for the US government. Providing to them services at a fraction of the cost they were paying to NASA for the same services.

Americans are capitalists. We all know what "you" are. You will all be exposed very soon. Trump was given a mandate and it is not the border security although that is high on his list. America told Trump to finish the job he started in his first term, clean out the deep state. If you have not now you really should see Trump's videos on exactly how he is going to achieve this.

 

Trump was not given a mandate, he barely made 50% of the vote and the repubs in the House and Senate do not have a super majority

the Mandate is the people want bipartisan bills, they want neither sides extremes

 

"Cleaning out" something which doesn't exist will have zero impact on anyone's lives, but it's true that IT IS his top priority.
