"lining up around the block for labor that you stick your nose up at" ... Where did you get this?

"you'll get ten willing and eager chinese workers for the cost of a single american."... So what? Do you want the American worker living in a hut with a dirt floor?

"...labor laws and benefits that American workers think they deserve because they show up on time and half-ass their work. You and yours have destroyed our economy by pricing America out of the labor market."... If you checked you would find that the American worker you denigrate is the most productive on the planet.

"You and yours have destroyed our economy by pricing America out of the labor market"... No. The labor market has been destroyed by the owner class lobbying congress for import laws that destroyed our manufacturing base.

"And you cannot be serious in holding up Europe as an example. 2 governments have already collapsed..." ... Gee, who knew there were only 2 countries in Europe. Look at Germany. They still have good paying manufacturing jobs. And they earn higher wages than we do in the U.S.A.

You contempt for working people is clear. As is you tendency to suck up to the rich. But you absence of knowledge and your distortion of facts make this discussion tiresome.

    Have a good life.

This isn't a cunning comment. There are of course problems in Europe, accentuated by a political integration that didn't take into account economic basics. However, the welfare state is but a natural part of capitalism. It ensures an efficient reserve army. The only difference is whether it can be also used to derive positive externalities. More generous systems, given risk adversity, have been found to engineer greater entrepreneurial activity. A scary proposition perhaps for class based countries such as the US, but splendid nonetheless!

It's called reality honey. The FACT is that most people in the world would give their right arm to make $5 an hour. Which BTW is lower than our rediculously high minimum wage of 7.50. The FACT is that if I offered a job at $7.50 in most places on the PLANET, I'd get college graduates, not the high school drop outs that you get in the USA. And as far as productive -- you obviously have never worked in a store or factory in your life, or you'd know what I'm talking about -- In the US, workers go to sleep on the assembly line during their oh so difficult 8-hour shift. A Chinese worker runs his ass off during his entire 10-hour shift. If you go into the back room of any American store, you'll find people hanging about talking during work hours. You won't find anything of the sort in India or China or Chile. In those nations, you'll find people WORKING at work.

Honestly, most Americans live far above their means. We use up 75% of earth's resources for a population that's not even 10% of the world population. You've been taught that poverty means no iPhone and no cable, while the rest of the world considers TV a luxury. You demand a large house while most of the planet lives in apartments. The truth is that Americans are a spoiled lazy bunch and now it's caught up with us in the form of jobs going to where the productive people are rather than staying in America.

It's called evolution. You do it faster, better and more efficiently than the next guy or go extinct. Not whine and cry because you no longer have the ability to compete in the world marketplace.

I almost agree with you 100%

You Said to that post: you obviously have never worked in a store or factory

I am more inclined to think they did work there and are a part of the point you have illustrated.

What is even worse is the fact that if an UNSCHOOLED person like me tells them that they can make more money finding work instead of a job - their eyes glaze over and they get a blank look on their face.

They have lost the concept of doing better to get ahead.
They are self inflicted prisoner's who think they are entitled to have a job to do their time (the daily serving of a sentence)
for a wage which they perceive as earned
That is their mentality - the way they act and think.

    It's an ENTITLEMENT MENTALITY
