    Didn't intimidate me.

Just those parts of the world who need to be intimidated.

Because certain members of Western Europe who sided with Japan in WW2 are intimidated by our nukes.
    As they should be.

What the UK's nukes? I doubt it.... I bet if there was a regiment of Russian troops marching down the Mall our navy would still be faffing about trying to find the spanners and hammers to make them work..

Okay... Here's what happened... ASIDE from the falling of the Berlin Wall ending it in my book...
America beat everyone to 'The Bomb' so America got 'The Bomb' first.
I believe they feared Nazi occupied Europe from Berlin to the edge of Iberia which at the time was going through its own **** were close to building 'The Bomb' and the Nazis were, they tried, they failed, almost made a crater out of Berlin in doing so with a chain reaction that went wrong... The Nazis chose Berlin because they believed it to be impenetrable...
The American... (These are an important bunch in this story)... The Americans therefore rushed their bomb to get 'The Bomb'. beat the Nazis to the punch... They chose Los Alamos, NM because it wasn't very populated and was inland and harder to get to from either Ocean where on the other sides of, because of Pearl Harbour in Hawaii when Hawaii wasn't a state yet, these wars (for The American) were fighting/building 'The Bomb'.
So... Americans were killed and American interest well and truly attacked in the Pacific dragged America into the war and Hitler declared war on America citing 'they're Capitalists' as a reason...
    Not good.

I think it was either WWI or WWII were UK and USA made up? IDK...
There was still beef between us then for sure up until a certain point though.
    God Bless America.

If it was up to The Americans, the ones who beat everyone to 'The Bomb', nobody but America would have The Bomb but trial and error and Sneaky Russian Spies gave Russia then The Soviets of the USSR/CCCP 'The Bomb'... Which put my country, The United Kingdom in range and so... America... With this then 'new' threat to the UK and 'western values'.. The US then shared 'how to build a bomb'/bombs with America's allies.

    The End.
**** Iranian dictators getting the Bomb.

Nanna sat on watch, sitting in the kitchen today 93, on D Day and chose to join the WAAF 6 months before she turned 18 so she could have a say in the matter of her service should she get conscripted to do whatever the country asked, she joint the Royal Airforce under the Women's core, and did watch duty during the war plotting things for the British. An American General had taken over the South of the UK and my Grandmother/Nanna/Nan served under General Eisenhower's command 'like everyone else'.
But it was Churchill who let this happen and sure enough, The Americans didn't occupy the UK but took command of the invasion.
