Nothing has changed much, all the stuff you whined about have been around since man evolved from the great ape group.

If you don't like you life, you can always end it.
As for wishing end times were true, it's still billions of years away.

 

I like my life just fine....I just happen to know what is waiting for me on the other side.

The world ended in 2012. Remember? Thats when the Mayan Calendar ends.

 

Maybe, maybe not, but aren't we supposed to have become civilized since then?

Religions do there best to keep that from happening.
The religious caused dark ages, sent humankind back a few thousand years.
And still try to keep folks from becoming more civilized.
Some religions cloak and dagger it, by pretending to help certain people. While at the same time, condemning other people.

 

With age comes, its not the same as when I was growing up.
The world has gone to hell in a handbasket. That's not wisdom, that's hanging on to the past.

I, realize every old generation as not understood the generation 2X removed from them. IE, their grandchildrens generation and has said the world has gone awry. When all it has done is evolved.

 

The age group you put me in is erroneous because my grandchildren are prepubescents, thus having no mature thoughts on anything? In other words, I now have wisdom but as yet they don't, and so my opinions and perceptions are influenced by nothing than my own observations. So it isn't a question of my not understanding them, it's one of them not understanding me. But I'll agree the world is indeed going to hell in a handbasket, and a good part of that is owing to the religions, closely followed by increasing human stupidity and greed.

 

So do I.

Greed is not much better or worse.
Stupidity is still around, but the world is much more educated.

Catholics also believe there will be a separate place which they call Purgatory, possibly several different places.

 

Some disagree. I've never looked into any biblical or other proof. It makes no difference to me. I cannot rely on some hope. I do not say they are mistaken, nor lying or confused. If they want me to believe them, fine. I see no sense in trying to get to Purgatory. lol

Science, math, technology, and other education is far more advanced than 50 yrs ago.
It's not even comparable to 100 yrs ago.

 

It starts every day.
For every day is another day to the day the sun is closer to burning out.
But, its not something we need to worry about, just yet.
