This is the time to honor ' Mohamed Bouazizi, the young man whose self-immolation last December triggered the Tunisian revolt '.

Ennahda assures that there is no intention to create a religious State. Zionists, and those who support the brutal doctrine of Zionism from their arm-chairs, should watch carefully the world's reaction to this intent. It will become clear to them that the notion of a ' jewish State ' is repugnant, particularly as a quarter of Israelis are not jewish. Tunisia leads the way for decent Israelis- extremism is the route to isolation and insignificance.

Those countries whose entire populations are of one faith stand in a different place. For them, outside interference is criminal . They have no significant minorities to demand that the might of NATO be deployed to attack their majority and mainstream parties and populations. They are Islamic countries and their politics is their own business. Not so in Israel. 25% of the population demand to be heard.

Good luck, Tunisia, and you deserve all the support coming your way. Islamic countries will be watching to see if your social openness attracts the worst attentions of Western decadence and if it survives to set a precedent which they might follow.

What percentage of minorities do you need before they deserve to be protected within a secular state? 5%, 10% or more?

If you kick them all out and persecute them to in an attempt to reach 0% is that an option?

I see you are still fixated on the Wahhabis..

Funny that they have been fighting Islamic radicals on the Arabian Peninsula for over a decade and have become a huge counter terrorism asset to the US.

Tunisia is a Muslim country. There should be very little contact between America and any Muslim country. It only leads to sorrow.

"Detractors of the demolitions and expansion programs have argued that this phenomenon is part of the implementation of state-endorsed Wahhabi religious policy that emphasizes the Oneness of God (Tawhid) and entirely rejects the worship of divine proxies to God"

Hog wash. A good percentage of the modern world is Muslim and you are just going to have to accept it. Isol;ating them leads to messes like Iran and Afghanistan.

We should actually be trying to bolster countries like Mali, Guinea and Senegal to show the world that Islam is not an impediment to modernization and suppression of Islam will not lead to peace or prosperity.

Americans can be curious about other places, but America's sole legitimate interests are exclusively in the United States.
