Sometimes, I think the greatest enemy of the environment is environmentalism itself.
They want to overspeed a giant green transition but forget that you need energy for everything, even for that.
No windmill tower can be manufactured without steel from highly energy-intensive steel factories and no wings can be produced without the equally energy-consuming chemical industry.
It takes energy to make energy, folks, that’s how it works.

Don’t get me wrong, I am sure that in some generations from now, we will be running on wind, sun, and nuclear fusion, as technology evolves and so will our energy system. And that is good.
But right now, our modern society, accomplished by the sweat of our parents and grandparents, needs to survive in the first place!

Three hundred years ago, when you needed a leg amputation, they would cut it off with a carpenter saw at full consciousness without any anesthetics.
First, they would give you a leather lump in your mouth to bite on. Then, they would make a deep cut around with a sharp knife and then the saw went in, straight through the bone!
And to be honest, that's not even so long ago in history.

Getting from there to where we are now, happened thanks to an industry that ran on dirty coal, smelly oil, and polluting gas. But without that evolution, sorry dear environmentalists, your leg would still be cut off with a carpenter saw in a shed round the corner instead of having a hi-tech operation in a modern hospital.

Is Europe wrong in striving for a green transition? No, not at all. The world changes constantly and new technologies arise that will modify our society and energy production. No harm in having the ambition of being a leader in that area.
But Europe was d*mn wrong for not having a drill rig on every square mile of the North Sea to free themselves from Russian gas. And even now, with the economy on the edge of collapse, I don’t see drill rigs popping out of the sea like mushrooms, which has everything to do with environmentalists who even now don't see the sword swinging above their heads.

Europe now needs to make a green transition in just a few years without having the energy to produce the immense amount of stuff needed for such a Giga project. Well, good luck with that!

American citizens think to get off the hook thanks to having energy in their own territory. Well peasant dreams, folks, because Europe is about to kick off a world crisis as never seen before. No way, anyone will escape from inflation, depression, and financial crashes, once a world crisis strikes, causing hard-working people to lose their life savings.

So, maybe it is time environmentalism woke up before seeing their own children suffer and languish in poverty.
