https://bigleaguepolitics.com/arkansas-house-passes-bill-legalizing-machine-guns/ Arkansas is well on its way to legalizing full-auto (machine) guns. I don't really have a 'dog in this fight': I'm not wealthy enough to feed a full-auto weapon, and I see reason in restricting 'indiscriminate' weapons, which I believe includes full-auto firearms. But I do sympathize with the notion that I believe is at-play here. This is the result of mass rebellion against those who seek what are increasingly seen as tyrannical controls. For decades, we've seen the Second Amendment slowly eroded one supposedly 'reasonable' law at a time, to the point now where parts of the country have effectively lost their right to defend themselves with firearms and its not hard to find people publicly admitting that they would like to abolish the 2A altogether and ban all guns nationwide. Anyone that didn't see the erosion of what 'reasonable' controls we already have in place as a response is naïve to the dynamics of human nature and the drive for freedom. At the end of the day, I'd rather see full-auto legal than semi-auto illegal, so I say best-of-luck to Arkansas. They might be going too far, but at least they're going in the right direction. Keep trying to restrict American's access to guns if you want to see more instances of this equal and opposite reaction to tyranny. OR wake up to the fact that you don't get to control everything, because this is not a democracy... its a republic.
I have shot full-auto many times. It's fun but my preference is semi-auto [even in battle]. Best of luck to Arkansas on getting this passed.
It's always better to offensive, then defensive, shove it up to the anti's versus trying to nullify what lies they are proffering.
