The kind of extremist nationalism you are talking about is very dangerous for any nation that tries to achieve it. Your own history of almost absolute destruction after 2 world wars should give you pause to realize this. And don't forget that Germany was reliant on resources, from colonies in WWI (those sh#thole countries you are talking about isolating now that you don't need them any more) and from conquered peoples in WWII.
