If all of the above holds true, the feds would have a difficult time getting a conviction should they proceed with an indictment.

Yeah, and Ray Epps isn't an FBI asset because the NYT "debunked" the idea.

Police agencies are like Petri dishes for official crime.
If 90% of the FBI was honest and true it would still be a very corrupt organization.

Thank you, and you're right. I was only made aware of "Department of the Navy versus Egan" this morning by @Condor060 . One would think that Attorney General Garland would have been very well aware of it before now, but who knows what goes on in the mind of any hyperliberal, radical Democrat. So often, they just "make it all up as they go along".... And that's fine, until "Monsters from the id" rear their ugly heads!

They have way TOO much power, a bureau out of control. Our founders are rolling over in their graves.

He would be charged with a crime just like anyone else who gave them that information. But I doubt the FBI or DOJ believed that was going to happen or that is what those were, where would he even have gotten a copy of such information to begin with?

It is at the least over 18 months old information.

I am all for hearing what was this national security risk, why didn't Garland tell us? Why is the FBI and DOJ refusing Turmp's request to have a Master go through them and determine which ones meet the standard of the subpoena request? What is the national security risk in the Roger Stone pardon, the attorney-client privilege documents?

I'm all ears for some explanation here.

And then would you agree he should be held to the same standard as others who violated the act such as Hillary Clinton and Sandy Berger?

No evidence of that on the receipt made public.
If another lawyer was given a copy earlier the DOJ should have made that public immediately.

He will follow what the laws proscribe pertaining to stolen US gov't documents. This is what adults do.

I forget which President it was when the FBI was created, but I read where he used it as a means to silence his opponents concerning going to war.

This is patently untrue and assumes facts not in evidence.

    *rolling eyes*

You think that the DOJ is obligated to try every matter in the public? You really have no idea how this works.

Presidential Records Act. The President retains control over FOIA request for specific terms.

    • Establishes a process by which the President may restrict and the public may obtain access to these records after the President leaves office; specifically, the PRA allows for public access to Presidential records through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) beginning five years after the end of the Administration, but allows the President to invoke as many as six specific restrictions to public access for up to twelve years.

So the Clinton standards as were established by the DOJ will apply?
