If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, there's nothing wrong with telling folks 'I think its a duck' while I'm waiting for the bureaucracy to take its sweet ass time to confirm whether or not its a duck ...especially when the 'duck' is a potentially detrimental side effect of a popular medicine.

Most do know better, that's why most are vaccinated.

Unfortunate but we have all been conditioned since kindergarten to avoid the cooties at all costs and this has been billed as death on a stick from the beginning. You cannot uncondition people just because suddenly your guy won.

So the vaccine "walks like a duck and quacks like a duck"? Based on what, that study you linked to that shows nothing? WTF?

Oh, no, I'm talking about the study (still pending peer review) that "showed that the vaccine altered the production of inflammatory cytokines by innate immune cells following stimulation with both specific (SARS-CoV-2) and non-specific (viral, fungal and bacterial) stimuli" and claims "innate immune cells had a reduced response to toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4), TLR7 and TLR8 – all ligands that play an important role in the immune response to viral infection." Not sure what study you're talking about that "shows nothing"...

I know that I've put off seeing my primary care physician (PCP) since the start of the pandemic. I don't even know if he still works at the local clinic.

So, I guess that most people are like me.

Even well before Covid, by decades, in fact, Americans have developed more severe chronic illnesses that require multiple doctor visits per year along with a host of pills and treatments to go along with that. Covid interrupted many of those patients' routine doctor visits. Covid is going to force us to address the broken links of our healthcare system, but first, we have to deal with the rabid dis-information of which you are propagating.

"Natural immunity" my ass...study some history. How many millions have to pay for your "natural immunity"?

No, I got that. I know what you're talking about but it doesn't mean anything at this point in time.

Mutations come from poor vaccines for the most part, including the Delta Variant, not from natural immunity. Where do you people get this crap?

One day you might understand that mutations are a statistical process. I fear that "one day" will never come to you ;-)

Variants come from bad vaccines most of the time. You're welcome.

    I am not surprised

A combination of an inefficient healthcare system that has been over stressed by incompetence in relation to handling of the pandemic and you are surprised by this outcome?

Outline the pathophysiological process underpinning this claim.

SIAP. Let me weigh in. Since we have effective vaccines, superfluous hospital-run contact tracing, for example. Since we have effective vaccines, superfluous hospital-run worrying about the number of cases, for example. Since we have effective vaccines, all the superfluous hospital-run actions revolving around vaccine mandates, for example, which further tax a hospital system that is already overtaxed.

Well aint that just weird! I wonder if the Biden's CDC doesn't show this study?

Increases in COVID-19 are unrelated to levels of vaccination across 68 countries and 2947 counties in the United States

At the country-level, there appears to be no discernable relationship between percentage of population fully vaccinated and new COVID-19 cases in the last 7 days (Fig. 1). In fact, the trend line suggests a marginally positive association such that countries with higher percentage of population fully vaccinated have higher COVID-19 cases per 1 million people. Notably, Israel with over 60% of their population fully vaccinated had the highest COVID-19 cases per 1 million people in the last 7 days. The lack of a meaningful association between percentage population fully vaccinated and new COVID-19 cases is further exemplified, for instance, by comparison of Iceland and Portugal. Both countries have over 75% of their population fully vaccinated and have more COVID-19 cases per 1 million people than countries such as Vietnam and South Africa that have around 10% of their population fully vaccinated.

Yes it's definitely weird that you quote a post about hospitalisation rates and then completely ignore hospitalisation rates in your post

Pure BS. Most patients are in ICU for other reasons and happen to test positive for Covid once there. Local hospital had 4 Covid patients in ICU but only one suffering and there for Covid.

Considering data is now showing that areas that are highly vaccinated have a vastly higher percentage of COVID cases means that there would be more vaccinated hospitalizations than unvaccinated hospitalizations. Don't let logic evade you.
