EU Court Of Justice Rules Poland, Hungary, & Czech Republic Broke EU Law

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) has ruled that Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic broke EU law when they refused to take in migrants under the European Union's September 2015 relocation agreement.
During the 2015 migrant crisis, EU leaders agreed to relocate 160,000 migrants and refugees EU-wide, assigning each EU member state a fixed quota from the camps in Italy and Greece, where migrants and refugees were arriving in record numbers. However, the Czech Republic accepted only 12 of the 2,000 refugees assigned it, while Hungary and Poland took in none.

The ruling effectively removes the sovereignty of EU member states to make their own decisions regarding the keeping of public law, order and national security in the case of EU migration policies, if those decisions conflict with EU obligations.
The ruling does so by setting up criteria that are impossible to meet.

If you're wondering why these Eastern European countries stay in the EU, it is entirely for economic reasons. The EU basically hands them free money. And in addition they get access to European markets (can sell their goods to wealthier countries, tariff-free) and their citizens can go work in those countries and send/bring back money.

But of course, these economic benefits come at a cost.

The Eastern European country members of the EU are coming under increasing pressure to take in migrants (i.e. from Muslim and African countries).
It remains to be seen exactly how hard the EU will push the issue, and whether the EU would actually be willing to push them out for not meeting their obligations, or whether these Eastern European countries would be willing to capitulate if it came down to that.

Of course they did. China rules that practicing religion breaks the law. SA rules that buttsex breaks the law. America rules the smoking weed breaks the law.

Doesn't mean any of them are right.

    F the EU.

Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic should secede.
