Hello there. I have heard that sentiment everywhere to be honest. Danes usually say they are glad to be Danes. Italians say they are glad they are Italians and so on. A lot of Europeans also say they are glad they are not Americans I am sure a lot of Americans say the same (glad they are not Europeans). Personally... I find nationalism overrated.
Americans out number other nationalities by 20 to one. I get down on bended knee daily and pray to whoever listens I'm not American.
Well, Europe lost its sovereignty and identity quite a while ago and is irrelevant in actual politics. Everyone is hyped about if we are going to die in nuclear blast, because Hillary will manage to rig the elections and start WWIII, or Trump will become new world Messiah and make US a decent country, minding its own business, fixing own problems, not creating new ones for others. Or vice versa... Who knows...
Really? Why is that? If you're white and middle class and employed, as I believe you to be, things aren't all that bad.
Europeans who think that Hillary will start WWIII? Trump will become the new Messiah and make the US a decent country? You sound Russian.
I'm afraid America isn't unique anymore. We used to be the only place in the world where people would risk their lives to get to. Now it appears there are millions trying to reach Europe as well. I'm glad to be an American. Growing up near NYC was a blast. And I love New England, Texas, the Midwest, etc. I love baseball, college football, high school football, the NFL, the NBA, cheeseburgers, big cars with 8 cylinder engines, our beaches, our mountains, our golf courses, watching BLM and MSNBC make fools of themselves ...
I can't imagine your daily life is so very different from mine then. What is it you imagine is so terrible about the US? My biggest complaint are the ugliness and waste of suburban strip malls and the traffic. But most people are kind and easy-going, at least where I live. I would wager we have more and easier access to culture than you do. A curious circumstance is that the US is the source of much technological innovation, but that means we build out first generation infrastructure and get saddled with it for far too long until it is all amortized. So China, for instance, has much better telecommunications having skipped building out a landline infrastructure. (Telephone poles are another pet peeve of mine.)
Hey we can finally agree, I'm really glad your not American also! Now if you can just mind your own business.
Funny how Americans get all butt hurt when someone mentions they're glad not to be American. Why is that?
I don't know enough about you personally Where I live, what was once pristine dairy farming land when I was growing up, is now urban sprawl. Luckily developers had the good sense to run electricity underground. Domestically or internationally? I have access to the same technology as you do whether it being home grown, American, Asian, European.
The curiosity perplexes me. The interest in our politics, race relations, domestic affairs, economy... I'm profoundly thankful I'm American.
Lizard, the US is by no stretch the most populous country on the globe. I'm glad you're not American, too.
China is #1 and although it reports it's population at 1.4 Billion....it is actually closer to 1.7 Billion as the Chinese under report their population to get the U.N. Poverty Commission of their asses. India is #2 at over 1 Billion. The U.S. is at 320 Million. AA
America is awesome! America can become as great as it was before liberals began to damage the free nation began in 1776. However, Liberal Dems must be removed from the White House and kept a weak minority in Congress for that to happen. What other country was more free in the during the 1770's and 1780's?? None on Earth. Who lead the way in real democracy? America. Who gave the world most of the important modern inventions like TV, the light bulb, airplanes, transistors, computers, telephones.....? America. Who are the biggest crybabies with inferiority complexes? European Leftists.
I have been all over the world and one of the major differences between the U.S. and everywhere else...and there are a number of them.....is how fast things move here. Everyone in the U.S. is moving at Warp Speed and people work fast....eat fast....live fast. You go to Europe and especially France and it is like things are going in slow motion. AA
Did you bother to check the context of what he was saying.... Which was NOT that the usa is the most populous country on earth... But thx for the census update
