Why do we keep going back to GUESSING whether Dr. Ford was lying???

Democrats wanted Dr. Ford, Kavanaugh, and the people on Dr. Ford's list to be investigated by the FBI.

If she were found to have lied, she could then be charged for perjury.

Whatever the outcome, senators could then vote for confirmation with that information - the way it is SUPPOSED to work!



Instead, Republicans demanded that she NOT be investigated.

Then, they agreed to investigate her.

Then, the executive branch Republicans blocked the investigation.

Then, they voted for confirmation without that information.

NOW, Republicans are heaping death threats on her AND her family.


You can't justify that as a legitimate confirmation process.

 

Get over it, the investigation has taken place and is over, Kavanaugh is on the court for life. No corroborating evidence was found, despite the Democrats stall tactic to get the FBI involved, who merely duplicated what the Judiciary Committee found. Yes, I think Ford and the other two liars should be charged with perjury and making false charges. The lawyer who didn't tell Ford of the Senate offer to come interview her needs to be disbarred.

Yeah, probably. I find it very easy to believe that the intense and targeted Russian influence campaign produced Trump's narrow margins of victory in a few, key states. Do you have good evidence or argument to believe otherwise, or are your objections merely based in emotion and superstition?

I don't know. How many of them are this gullible. I used to belong to the NRA so I could participate in pistol league. I didn't encounter a soul who thinks Russia is a friend of the U.S. I'll leave participants in religion out of my comment since I don't discuss religion with people and have no idea what their beliefs are.

 

It is amazing what you can do to America with a few hundred thousand dollars worth of advertising. It boggles my mind.

 

There was no investigation.

When there is no investigation, it isn't some sort of shock that no evidence was found.

This doesn't just go away.

This is what women face when they report sexual assault in America.

That is a continuing problem that is HUGELY serious, as fewer than 10% of rapes even get prosecuted. And, it's far worse than that for cases where the sexual assault didn't get that far.

This is America TODAY!

And, it is American FOREVER unless we recognize that the Kavanaugh case shows a pattern that is NOT EVEN SLIGHTLY GOOD ENOUGH.

Your "disbar" comment is just plain STUPID. You need to try to be consistent. You decided (without there being an investigation) that Dr. Ford was a liar. You can't then suggest there was a "better" avenue for Dr. Ford to take. YOUR position is that she should shut up and take it - like tens of thousands of other women every year.
