Even if everything went right under Trump, I still wouldn't vote for him

Primarily because of one word any country should have.
    Morality.

The GOP just got their version of a Obamacare-esk bill passed through the House, charging it down the peoples throats, the rate of deportation has skyrocketed (most of these people have no felonies), the far right FCC killed off net neutrality, giving power to corporations over internet users, more American bodies are being sacrificed by the US Military instead of investing in more drones and mechanical soldiers. So, while fat cats on Wall Street may be Trump's biggest fans right now (or any high roller on the stock market), the people who can't buy Rolls Royce's like M&M's who value this countries obligation to human rights and maintaining its morality thereof would never give it a second thought to vote for this man regardless of what he does for the economy.

LOL. You know I never voted for Trump and I agree, even if everything went perfect I could never vote for him. But the reverse is also true with me. I didn't vote for Hillary Clinton either and I could never vote for her if she won and everything went perfect. As politicians I dislike both of them. I am content having voted third party, that vote was against both of them. I did what I could to get both defeated. Didn't work, one won. I suppose by looking on the bright side, I was 50% successful.

If someone does a good job, you don't like them based on something they did in their past. Therefore, if someone does something bad, you would not hold their past against them? Oddly enough, that's how I read that.

None of the candidates were great. It's been over a year. It's done. If you had your druthers, who would you druther see running? Can you list a few reasons or link to an article? Can you look at this candidate objectively and tell me what s/he has done that is opposite to how you would have liked?

Him being a fat idiot with the intelligence of a 5 yr old was enough for me.

If it's a man, he needs to be buff and young as possible. He needs to know all the popular acronyms and how to use twitter. Okay so far. I think 35 is as young as he can be. I assume this is the same if it were a woman. Though I would think her appearance would be less a factor and she could be slightly rotund and have a better chance.

To tell the truth, I doubt you can define morality, so.... you might want to try, but I doubt you can.

Awesome. So who did you vote for or who would you vote for?

Personally, I thought both Hillary and Trump were deplorable. Trump is a ****ing moron, but Hillary was corrupt. Although I voted 3rd party, I saw both Trump and Hillary as deplorables and am glad the least deplorable ******* won.

I've been clear on this forum I voted Clinton, not because I wanted her, but because I viewed her as a lesser evil. I am still a Sanders type of person.

Who did I vote for? Clinton. Who would've I wanted to vote for? Sanders.

Hillary was weak like Roy Moore was. Just on a national scale. I figured I should choose which of the lesser evils I could live with.

The larger question is, "would you be able to see a nation exhibit good morality if it was in front of your face?"

You voted for what you perceived to be the lesser evil, meaning you voted for the smaller evil. Having BTDT, I refused to do so again and voted 3rd party. It's people like me which is why neither Trump nor Hillary gained over a 48.2% vote. It's people like you which supported voting for evil, even the lesser of.

Yes, because I can define morality.

Your question is basically asking if I can define morality, throwing it back in my face. Yes, I can.

Morality is when all parties involved are happy with the outcome of any transactions that occur within the parties affected by those transactions.

See, I've done what you didn't. I made an actual substantive statement regarding morality.

    You haven't.

I have no problem with the FBI just like I have no problem with our military and intelligence services. Other points of view vary. They think those services are filled with traitors.

You wouldn't vote for him because you aren't conservative.

Repealing the terrible aca that was rammed down or throats in the first place is a great thing if you are conservative.

Im sure most conservatives would be thrilled with a 100% deportation rate. Its a crime to be in this country illegally.

Conservatives think the private sector should be in charge of industry not government.

So basically all you are saying is that you don't like the more conservative party because you are liberal.

As a vet, you know anyone who takes the oath is honor-bound to report malfeasance, dishonesty, treason, etc. Sure, you and I both know that Private Schmucatelli or a brand new field agent don't know any better, but Officers, NCOs and their equivalent peers in the FBI and CIA do know better. Are you accusing hundreds, if not thousands of treason?

There were two candidates who acted and spoke as if they had some clue as to what needed to be done to restore this country to it's status as land of opportunity. They were both in the same party. They finished one two in that party. The were Trump and Cruz. The libertarians ran a train wreck waiting to happen, in Mr. Too Long at the Bong, and of course the Green party candidate a twitasaurus maximus who desperately wanted to double down on everything that was already wrong with this country. Sorry ladies and gentlemen there was no perfect candidate running in this election. There never has been and there never will be because theya re all human beings and human beings come with guaranteed flaws. And time you vote for some one for president of this country you are by definition voting for lesser of some number of evils, for that is the very heart of those who seek power over others.

I can't speak for REMF's, but when I served, we in combat arms policed ourselves.

You do know that it is immaterial who you would or wouldn't vote for. Trump won and has a little over 3 years left , god willing. Here it is,over a year since the last election, and your still grieving the loss of your candidate. I know the loss of your candidate was a shock to your nervous system and many like you cannot believe Trump won. Being mad about the results hasn't made anyone feel better. Who is everyone angry at, Trump, Hillary, the system? It is amazing what excuses and lengths some have gone too in order to nullify the election. Comey, Bernie supporters, Obama starved the DNC of funds, Russian interference, Russia Collusion with Trump, overturn the electoral college, obstruction of an investigation, impeachment efforts, media bias, etc. As each week and month goes by no evidence of wrong doing pans out and the Hillary voters become more and more depressed. There is nothing you can do to change the results, it is time to get on with life and accept the facts for what they are. Hillary was a lousy candidate and she lost the election.

You are free to think the thousands of FBI employees are either traitors or stupid based upon your combat tour, but I disagree. There's always bad apples, but most are patriots.
