Like Joe Frazier, Foreman was demonized unfairly as an Uncle Tom for not being a political activist who protested openly against the Vietnam war. I thought it was unfair then and I still do. They were different types of guys but also great fighters and courageous guys. I loved Archie Moore too and also Sandy Saddler. I was also very happy when Ali beat Foreman in “The Rumble In The Jungle” and Joe in “The Thrilla In Manila”. I loved and respected what Smith and Carlos did and always thought Avery Brundige was an a$$ hole.

 

Thursday, August 8th, the year of the lord 2019 and Rapinoe is still more loved and adored than our POTUS.

 

Can't wait for the 2020 Olympics.

Even more athletes will join Rapinoe in distancing themselves from Trump (That ORANGE RACIST IMBECILE).

I would never require my children to be identical to me in their thoughts and preferences; the fact that your mind went there first when the post said nothing of the sort is on you, not me. I would, however, expect them to treat women with respect, come by their business honestly, etc. I know, I know, really controversial stuff in the age of Trump. I would be concerned about the mental health of any family member who showed Trump's lack of basic human empathy, lack of basic scruples, and constant need to lie. That's what my post was about. Not about imaginary identical thoughts and preferences. Unless you think lying and stealing is just another lifestyle. I don't.

And I feel the same way about theft that you do about physical violence. If my child were lying to people to get them to part with their money and cheating them, I'd be concerned. You don't have to be. This is about behavior, not political beliefs. Trump's compulsive lying and lack of empathy were with him back when he was a Democrat too. They aren't part of his political preferences. They are personal deficiencies. You apparently only care if your child becomes a thug and don't care if they become a conman. I would care about both.
