All in how the question is phrased I'm surprised you didn't get 100% when asked if people support protesting. Try asking how many support burning looting and burning down businesses I expect the numbers to reverse.

I would prefer a candidate who’s worthy of my vote based on tangibles, not popularity. Don’t know enough about Carlson to have an opinion either way. But electing presidents based on popularity has gotten us at least the last 16 years of crappy administrations. I’m a bit sick of it...

In which black businesses were burned to the ground while Caucasian jackasses pranced about chanting black lives matter, as though it were a religious mantra, a black law enforcement officer was murdered, and a bunch of mostly Caucasian thugs threatened to murder a couple living in the burbs outside St. Louis.

I did not, what I am pointing out is the disparate view of those protest between you and I. What you wish to call peaceful protests were in fact violence filled riots doing billions in damages and more than a little physical harm to people as well.

I'd vote for a Cruz/Carlson or Carlson/Cruz ticket. Pence isn't very charismatic, but I think he's a decent man. I think Pence is taking notes on what Trump is doing right and what Trump is doing wrong. Plus Pence has the family reputation to pull off some of Trumps agenda without being called a hypocrite. If he doesn't run, he'd make a good secretary of state. Greg Abbott may be a little polarizing, but I like him also as a VP. I'm sure there are others. I haven't given it much thought.

Biden, winning? That's news to me. Hillary would have a better chance than Biden. The polls are meaningless election year desperate Democrat hocus pocus. Trump is going to win because the very thing we were all afraid of the last time around came to us recently in the form of national riots just to remind us.The party that can manipulate and mobilize that many crazy people should not have the keys to the kingdom. The Democrats agitated, organized and financed all of that. If the Dems retake the White House those mobs will become an army. Remember it was the Democrats that gave them license to riot, loot, burn and murder and ordered law enforcement to stand down. Think about that, the government giving thugs permission to commit crimes against ordinary citizens and denying those citizens police protection. The next time they will arm the mobs. The only thing we have to worry about now is the November riots after Trump wins.

Why are they exploding? Did someone ban soy milk? Did someone use a gender specific pronoun without the prior authorization? Did someone forget to say how god-like Barack Obama is?

That is not a indication that there is no issue that absolutely does need to be protested.

It is a fact that when protests start, those running the protests have limited means of controling the behavior of anarchists and others who choose to commit acts of violence.

The first to start calling for help in Minneapolis after the murder of Floyd were protestors, including thos of color.

That murder was one of a long list of police travesties - cases where the police made themselves the enemy of those they were policing. That is on the police. Period. They took on the emblems of white supremacists. They killed the Australian who called 911 for help. They committed the insults and uncalled for treatment that occurred time after time in the normal line of business for police.

Suggesting that objecting to that by protesting is wrong is just plain BS.

There was NO other avenue that had not already been used.

So, they got a protest. And, those protesting didn't have the capabilities needed to keep those with violent intent under control.

And, that causes you to whine! So be it. Whine.

Let's just hope that there are adults willing to see that there are real probles and that police who totally lose the trust of those they police ARE going to fail, because the trust of the people is a fundametal requirement.

It doesn't surprise me you feel that way.

The widespread support for the protests comes amid mixed views of whether those events have been mostly peaceful or mostly violent. On that question, Americans are evenly divided, with 43 percent saying the protests have been mostly peaceful and an identical percentage describing them as mostly violent. Thirteen percent say the protests have been equally peaceful and violent.

Views on this split along ideological and partisan lines: Most liberals (70 percent) and Democrats (56 percent) say the protests were mostly peaceful, while most conservatives (60 percent) and Republicans (65 percent) say they were largely violent. Independents are split similarly to the country overall, with 44 percent saying the protests were mostly peaceful, 42 percent mostly violent.

But support for the protests is evident regardless of whether they are seen as mostly violent or mainly peaceful.

This photograph actually comes from 2015, when former U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama joined thousands of Americans to mark the 50th anniversary of the civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.

    Nothing?
He was a sell-out to the promotions of socialism, among other things.
Brought on the attitude of entitlement and irresponsibility we are having to deal with right now.
He created the worst, most botched up health law in history.
His only real skill was oratory, and most of that proved to be BS.
That's just for starters. He was in short- worse than a lousy president, and I would have plenty to say.

The catch is that is all total BS.

Obama, like all Americans but an incredibly few are not interested in the US becomeing socialist. And, if you disagree you need to specify, not trot out empty campaign slogans.

Your entitlement idea is against no more than an empty slogan. How much we help people who are destitute has been a serious issue in America for more than 100 years.

Our current healthcare system is serving a larger percent of Americans than ever before. In so doing it solved several fundamental problems that had been nagging healthcare systems we have had in the past. For example, it ended healthcare coverage behaviors such as denying coverage to those with health issues, preventing people from losing insurance simply because of getting sick.

Let's remember that it was Republicans who named this system - it is not the system Obama wanted. We moved forward, because it is superior to what we had before, which is about all you can ask out congress.

Also, Obama established labs with US scientists in Wuhan, started a group in the NSC in the US dedicated planning an approach to pandemic disease that could reach America, produced a directory of resources and companies that could help provide needed pandemic supplise, sometimes requiring the Defense Production Act and encouraged bids for suppliers who could create these materials in the USA.

Trump killed ALL of that AND MORE - and within a couple years it was clear just how stupid that was. Every move Trump has made has been oriented AGAINST science, has been rife with outright lies. And, the result is crystal clear.

Again, you have nothing to say to Obama.

The asshats doing the vast MAJORITY of the mass shooting were PRIMARILY white nationalists obsessed with racism and guns.

Blaming Obama because of racist white nationalists doing mass shootings is DISINGENUOUS!

Now run along and find the handful of exceptions so that you can engage in kneejerk denialism as to the REALITY regarding WHO was doing the vast MAJORITY of the mass shootings.

Obama and the Dems in Congress tried to pass legislation to deal with the mass shootings by racist white nationalists but they were stymied by the Republicans who were PANDERING to the nefarious NRA!

Can you guess which party the racist white nationalists support?

    FACTS matter!

    :roflol:

The Cold War ENDED 30 years ago!

If you believe that you scare people into voting for the GOP with that debunked pablum then you definitely need a new reality check since your old one has bounced,

What the PROGRESSIVES are advocating is Social Democracy which actually PROVIDES all of the things that you are PRETENDING exist under the current DEREGULATED neoliberalist economic policy that has been an ABJECT FAILURE for We the People.

EVERYONE will be better off under a Social Democracy as opposed to just the wealthy elites which is the CURRENT situation that you want to continue to the DETRIMENT of We the People.
