If you are posting on this forum, you have a working computer with Internet access. If you have internet access you can do a search: http://searchwindevelopment.techtarget.com/definition/static-IP-address-dynamic-IP-address http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_address http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/static-ip-address-advantages-disadvantages/ And plenty more where they came from. It has nothing to do with being "techy" or not. This is a semi regular annoyance peculiar to conspiracy crowd: the certainly that they alone have the ultimate knowledge behind the cabal(s) that rule our planet, followed by a Luddite inability to do the most basic research. It rises to a form of trolling. It is frakking annoying. Truthers can't have it both ways: be the guardians of secret knowledge the rest of us are too stupid to figure out, but act too stupid to use Google.
I was noticing this. Or they'll try to get you to buy a $20 Alex Jones DVD. Who does that? Someone making money off the gullible. This is what I suspect: the ones selling something use the "what do you think?" gambit and avoid committing to a belief. Think about it: it allows them to push diverse conspiracy products without being caught in a contradiction. Only the ones who actually believe this stuff commit to a position, however flawed.
Because you decided to share them on a public forum thread. You would think that was obvious. If you didn't want to share your ideas and opinions, why are you here?
Ultimately, my response is typical of a person who legitimately doesn't know something and didn't want to research it. I have no interest in static IPs. But thanks for the lecture, my researching skills have gotten a little dull.
