How do you think the forum went? Are the Dems focusing on fringey stuff too much that won't resonate with much of the public? Please read the whole thing at the link:

Well duh! If you are a believer in smaller less intrusive government, there is no way you can in good conscience make common cause with people that believe women's sports should be replaced by the tranny games under the auspices of government authority.

The article exposes the utter stupidity of the author and his never-Trump republican cohorts who successfully convinced themselves not only that Orange Man Bad, but also that the Dems are reasonable and not completely beholden to their radical and totally unhinged base.

Now 3 years later it's beginning to dawn on some of them that while they've spent the last 3 years in bed with socialism-loving, constitution-despising, America hating, Christianity bashing extremists, all they got was fleas. Duh

The author is right about Dems pondering to their solid base instead of moderates. They spend a ton of resources on voters who will always for for them. Dems are definitely making the same mistake they made in 2016.
At the same time the author is wrong about objective - going to elections for no other reason but to unseat Trump will backfire too. A candidate must have a viable platform that doesn’t just ponder to far left. The candidate must present a plan that appeals to moderates too. In the end, there is a reason why trump was elected and those reasons cannot be ignored. If you want to run this country you must accommodate people who voted for trump.

I myself generally vote for a mix of republicans, democrats and, if available, independents. But as of late, the party shifted so far left that I find myself voting for larger amount of republican candidates. 4 years ago I couldn’t believe people support Trump but lately I find myself supporting him, mostly as a reaction to what Democrats are doing.
How can a moderate support Democrats when they pretty much openly advocate Antifa, assault people wearing political hats, deny everyone the right to voice their opinion if it’s different to their own and openly support anti-white racism?

People in cities vote for Democrats, rural population votes reliably republican. Every election is a fight for suburban voters, who are mostly white.
How do you expect to appeal for my vote when you promises to tax me more and give handouts to people for slavery, even though I never owned a slave and the receiver of the money never was a slave?
How do you expect to win my vote when you criticize basic border enforcement? Why do you think I will vote for someone who promises to open borders and just allow everyone in?

    Democrats lost their minds.

    Candidates are not the Democrats.
Most of the people being discussed in the OP are polling in the single digits.

That said, and while I agree the debate was stupid and unnecessary (although worth it just for Warrens comment) I don’t believe many people will suddenly be convinced to vote for trump because several democratic candidates discussed gay rights.

I watch Trump at his rally talk about the economy, getting us out of wars, the historic low unemployment numbers, praising the cops, saying "In God We Trust", and calling out the fake media. Then I turned to CNN to see if they carried the rally and what they were saying about Trump. There was a moderator on stage talking to the dem presidential contenders about LGBTQ issues. I'm still laughing at CNN.
