I heard a lot of whining over the last 8 yrs. Most from the RW side about all the executive actions Obama did.
Now that Trump is signing new executive actions daily, not a peep.
I sense some hypocrisy. Which is typical for partisan sheep.

He's just undoing Obama's executive actions. If he had to run all of Obama's violations of the Constitution through the House and Senate it would take his whole first term, which was Obama's intent.

Secondly, 7 of Obama's nominees were confirmed on his Inauguration day. Democrats have sworn to delay confirmation of Trump's nominees in an attempt to undermine the country. Trump is reducing the number of questions the enemies of the state can use to stall. For instance, he saved time by undoing Obama's action against the Keystone Pipeline. No need to ask about it now. The more executive actions, the fewer questions, the less delays, the sooner the administration can get to work.

    Kapish?

And Omama wasn't using the same rationalization?

    hypocrisy
    [hi-pok-ruh-see]

    noun, plural hypocrisies.
    1. a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.
    2. a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.
    3. an act or instance of hypocrisy.

Obama didn't have a bunch of executive orders to undo. He promised his peeps to undermine the global criminal United States and the stuff he didn't get done when he had the whole government he broke records to complete in the last few weeks of his Regime. Trump is just cleaning up after the mess Obama made on his way out. None of the stuff Obama did that was legal and covered by laws passed by Congress requires executive action, so Trump is righting the wrongs.

    He's undoing Obama's executive actions. -1 + 1 = 0, if you're mathematically inclined.

The three on his first day as President were all original.

He pulled out of the TPP (I don't mind this one)

He reinstated the Mexico City Policy which places the requirement that foreign countries have to agree to not fund abortions if they want US financial support. Actually it goes further than that. They can't fund any organization that performs abortions, even if the abortions themselves are not covered by the funding. And this does not means not using US funding to pay for it. The ban also includes all non-US funding they receive.

He put a freeze on all government hiring except with the military. This order does not have language to allow hiring to cover vital needs. If a agency happens to be grossly undermanned, they are still not allowed to hire workers to cover their needs. This is why the IRS is postponing tax refunds this year. They were told months ago that Trump was going to freeze hiring and the IRS always does temporary hiring during the tax season to help process refunds. Since they can't do that now, there is a 30-90 day delay on all refunds.

The President doesn't get to sign treaties unilaterally:

    Article II Section 2
Clause 2: He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur

    The TPP never existed.

Hiring and firing in the executive branch is within his purview. He wouldn't have even needed an executive order if he had his people confirmed and working for him.

Yes it did, it simply never got sent to congress for ratification. Trump's order made sure it wouldn't be by pulling out of all future negoiations and ordering that the existing treaty not be send to congress for ratification.

Perhaps it was the paltry 45% uphold rate that Obama had with the highest court in the land that led many to believe he was pushing the envelope of the constitution. He had 44 unanimous losses while W. had 30 and Willy had 31. Statistically speaking, he had a particularly bad record in the courts.

The formula was if they disagreed with what Obama did ( which was 99.9% of what he did) they would claim that the executive action was "unconstitutional". Trump could be doing unconstitutional, immoral, and heinous acts of complete depravity but if his cult followers like what he does they will claim that is what the founding fathers would have done.

What was Obama's executive action on the Keystone and Dakota pipelines? That needs to be undone.

So doing executive actions now, and not complaining is not hypocrisy according to you. Or were you one who never whined about obama's. I view it as hypocrisy.

The wheels on the bus go round and round.

Obama used the pen to get rid of Bush's policies. Trump will use them to get rid of Obama's...and the wheels stay in motion forever

You are coming off as quite uninformed.

    - - - Updated - - -

OK, same question. What executive action had obama done for the pipelines?

AFAIK, he hasn't undone any executive action obama put in.

    - - - Updated - - -

I don't think anyone said it did exist. It was still in negotiations, yes?
There was no TPP law or action.

    - - - Updated - - -

Gee, where did anyone so far say anything about it.
But it does raise the point the OP raises, now the R's like them?
It's why partisans are the loudest hypocrites.

    Answer, are they good now?

I understand that. And I expect that. But it was 8 yrs of whining about executive actions. Now not a peep.
And most of them have not undone anything obama did, yet. It's why those whiners are hypocrites.

This thread has shown a few of those hypocrites already.

The act of issuing an executive order isn't, in itself, wrong or even unconstitutional. It's a memo from the executive to executive agencies in government, intended to give the president the ability to enact that which has already been approved by Congress. Obama used it to invent power he didn't have. I suspect Trump will, too. All presidents do.

The answer to the question is in checks and balances. The Republican Congress didn't challenge Obama's executive authority.

Where was the ratification of the Iran treaty (by any other name) before Obama gave Iran nuclear weapons, $150B in cash + oil revenue to spread nuclear terrorism around the globe. When Iran gets all the cash and centrifuges they need, when they addict oil importing countries to make future sanctions ineffective, the clause in the Koran that encourages deception will kick in as it has kicked in before when dealing with Muslim leaders.

There needs to be an Amendment defining what the powers of an Executive Action can do and what it can't. Congress also needs to put a clamp on these things. The office of the President was never intended to have the kind of power that it has been given in the last few decades through Executive Actions.

I also want to know what Executive Action effected the pipeline. As far as I know that is not a government project, but a private project. The handling of the pipeline should stay within private hands and the government should stay out. If the private hands breaks any laws state or federal, then the government can step in.

Did you see, I said partisans? Not one or the other, both.
I just haven't seen any partisans that said obama's shouldn't use them, saying trump shouldn't use them. Hence the hypocrisy. Were you against obama using them?

    - - - Updated - - -

Did you whine when obama did it? Many on the R side did so. And no peeps from anyone on Trump doing so.
If the R congress had a legal leg to stand on, you bet they would've challenged them.

    - - - Updated - - -

    1. OT
    2. Obama never gave Iran anything. It wasn't a US treaty.

    - - - Updated - - -

That is usually a fault of 1 party in power. Granting some special approval process while they are in power. Then when out of power and the other side does same thing. Whine about how unfair it is.

I was against some executive actions because I disagreed with the policy. I'm not against any president using executive action. Especially with how poor our congress has been recently. I'm also the right winger that created a thread encouraging Obama to use more executive action. That way we'd know if his policies would succeed or fail quicker than going through congress.
