NYC was a crime haven until Guliani (R). Its going that way again.
LA is still a gang ridden city.
Seattle is seeing one of the largest homeless populations in the nation.

Sounds great and all, so what did Jones recently post that was so bad? So bad that it got him kicked from ALL sites at once? Even from iTunes app store and linkedin? See, when it goes to the last two, it just looks like there is collusion that all these tech companies conspired to ban him at the same time.

Thank you for conceding that none of them remotely resemble Hiroshima!

Or did the first one just bring attention to things that had slipped by the others? Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Fun, huh... except when the user policies are only enforced against conservatives. That makes them a class of discriminators. I'd suggest that FB et al are unlikely to ever attempt to apply these standards to their liberal users.

They all knew what Jones has been for years, why now and why on platforms that he doesn't use, just has an account? Why iTunes app store?

What does your post have to do with Facebook banning an ad?

So you are okay with racism and bigotry on the part of private entities. Good to know. You would have done well in the Old South. "Don't like it if blacks aren't allowed to eat here? Then start your own restaurant". Sound like you? Yes it does.

A vague understanding of what issues your constituents have to deal with is a nice start.

Depends if you view it as an 'ad' with extra violence, or if it's a video of violence with some political on the edge.

If the content of her 'ad' violates user restrictions that she acknowledged at the time of creating the account, or in future updates to that User Agreement, then it is not a violation of 'freedom'.

If she creates her own website, which I'm sure she has, and posts the video there, then it's not a violation of FB User Agreement. She is pretty much free to post whatever she wants, but not on someone else's platform.

Oh, so cortez in NY is one of those "qualified" people? Seems like those goal posts always get moved based on who the left is talking about.

Cortez, IMO, couldn't find her ass with both hands. She stumbled upon a sweet spot with some voters. I doubt she will go far.

Who is the "left" you are talking about? Me thinks you made an assumption...… I'm on neither the right or left. Each situation, subject and person is considered on their own merits.

If I meant "you", I would have said you. I am neither as well, but when it comes to "qualifications" to be a politician, most of our elected officials have no leadership skills. Most of the politicians are just in it for themselves. The lady in the OP add has as much qualifications as most politicians, until she proves shes better than them.

Then I extend apologies, many like to be vague so not to be pinned on it.
I've yet to see many (any?) politicians who have a real combination of knowledge and leadership skills in the decades I've been of voting age. As to who they are in it for, is rarely for other than a limited group, with themselves at the center.
The lady in the OP is appealing to the emotional level, not the intellectual level. Depending on how many Kleenex points she accumulates, is how far she gets.

Id say, give her a chance and change the tried and failed mistake of electing dems over and over.

But lets be fair, without pork barrel spending, a senator or house rep cant really do anything for their district from the federal level. The district, county(s), cities, etc should be the ones looking to make a change. The congress people are running to improve or implement certain laws/platforms based off their values, not to get federal moneys specifically for their districts/state.

They removed it because of the images. Like PF, FB has policies against gruesome images. Hey have, however, now reinstated her ads.

If the good people of NYC vote her in, then may they have the pleasure of her ways. Personally, I don't think she will go far after her showing post-primary.

Congress people? You're generous. I tend to use critter or weasel as a description.....

Neither. they are a 'social networking company' with stock sold publicly, no different that Ford Motor company or Exxon. You don't get to make their rules either, unless you own a majority share or are employed to manage it as CEO or board of directors. The people who get a voice are those who Facebook says gets a voice, under exactly the circumstances Facebook says so. The fairness doctrine no longer exists. The FCC eliminated the policy in 1987, and removed the rule in 2011.

except there is no charge of racism here, or bigotry. There is only a charge of discriminatory treatment based on ideology or politics neither of which represents a protected or suspect class. I am fine with a newspaper's editorial board deciding some opinions are not welcome or too incendiary or inflammatory for their readership so I am fine when Facebook does the same.
