Since the right wing has done nothing but attack and try to destroy the ACA since it's inception including encouraging health insurers to up it's premiums and deductibles they are the ones responsible for it's present deficiencies. They have done nothing but try to destroy it from day 1.

There was not a single lie in that link. I am the Obamacare expert, so if you want answers just ask me. The repeal of the stupid mandate does not take place until 2019, and then the only people that will go uninsured will be those that choose to do so. ( I know choosing to live your life the way you want is opposite of the democrat party platform) The GOP has done absolutely nothing and I mean nothing at all to affect the uninsured population. Every uninsured person today is uninsured because of Obamacare, no other reason. All the rate increases, the loss of providers, all the raising of out of pocket maximums was all "baked in" to Obamacare.

Educating oneself can be a wonderful thing but not if you are an Obamanista and it is in reference to the ACA then education brings reality to just how awful and hurtful to tens of millions this disaster of a law is.

I have yet to meet a single person that thinks Obamacare is a good thing that actually knows a damn thing about it. They just know that if Chris Matthews likes it or Rachel Maddow likes it than it has to be gold. That is the extent of their knowledge. But then again, that is exactly what the architect of Obamacare has stated, if anyone actually knew what was in the law it never would have passed. They counted on collective stupidity and they got it. His words not mine.

No private insurance plan will cover everything. Guess you forgot how they operate. They deny insurance for preexisting conditons and cut your insurance when you reach a cap. That was their normal procedure before Obamacare. If you love private insurance so much, you can always apply for an exemption from being covered by Medicare. Then, you can have no insurance when your retirement isn’t enough to cover the rates. Just don't get sick.

Obama's biggest mistake was trying to start a new, expensive government supplied medical system in the early days of the worst recession in modern history. He should have concentrated on fixing the economic crash, and left that for his successor. But over 70% of Americans said they favored National Health of some sort, so he tried to please the people. The result was absolute opposition by Republicans, and every attempt to implement a working system was foiled. So now, we have a failed system, which will be pointed to by the opposition as proof that such a system will not work.

Obamacare was one vote away from the public option. That would have opened the door to single payer healthcare. Let’s wait and see.

It needs subsidies because you’re paying “for profits” to insure you. Private insurance companies are in business to make money first, not provide healthcare.

You want other people to pay higher taxes than you so that they can pay for their care and subsidize yours. Every penny you get subsidized is free ****, courtesy of your neighbors

I guess you dont know how insurance works. The healthy and able pay so the sick and unable Get treatment.
All insurances witk that way. You’re completely oblivious to insurance. The differences between taxes through the govt and premiums is the high overhead of for profits....17% vs 2.5% in Medicare. You’re still uninformed. Because for profits are out to make a buck, they don’t allow preexisting* conditions and cap you at a max. So, you think your private insurance is better then Medicare ? Ha ha.

You do with private insurance. It’s not based upon wealth. Since the republicans messed with Obamacare it can go back to the way you’d like it.....no coverage for preexisting conditions and higher premiums for the sick.....has NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR WEALTH. Medicare does not do this crappola. .

    Ha ha....
That’s a laughable choice. Over 65, You can opt out of Medicare now if you choose and pay for private insurance. Who does ? Answer, no body. Why ? Because your taxes are less then your premiums for private insurance, plus, private can drop you anytime.
The overhead for private insurance is 17% compared to 2.5% for Medicare. Why would your taxes be more then your premiums now are ? Other countries pay much less.....and live longer.

I suspect that many of the insured were merely trying to avoid the tax penalty. Now that the mandate is gone, theres nothing to avoid.
While it would be accurate to say: these people dropped their insurance 'because of Trump', it would be more accurate to say: these people were once again allowed to choose to drop their insurance 'because of Trump.'

    Win for Liberty.

And because if that, caps and preclusion for preexisting conditions, health care cost as the primary reason for bankruptcy , 30 k people dying each year for lack of healthcare will become the norm again.
Insuring everyone the cheapest way possible is not a far left idea. It’s good for businesses who no longer have to fund employer based insurance , it’s good for patients. It just isnt good for insurance companies.

So you are proposing that everyone buy the same premium for the same price?
